I was a bit confused about their classification of the dept because during the initial interview invitation phone call, they said Emergency but then found out it is the annex area apparently just med surg with pts admitted from the ED. A little misleading if you ask me! LOL but the interview itself was all situational questions, probably 5-7 questions? I didn't keep track and cant remember them besides the typical "why did you apply to Davis." Overall, I felt as if it went well, just remember they are trying to get to know the type of person you are & how youd handle situations, so bring any clinical or life experience into it you can! another tip is that Davis's HR team actually has a list on their website of interview questions, if you wanted to get an idea.

In addition, what are some examples of community related volunteer experience? The lady who called me was looking for additional volunteer experience around community.

I am in the same boat! Have not heard anything back yet! It's almost 2 weeks since I interviewed and got reference check email! Anyone else?

How long when you got your reference check?

I got my reference check on Jan 13th

Ohh cool! You got it the next day after your interview? That should be a good sign. The nurse manager mentioned about a Skills Survey they will also be sending along with the reference check. Did you get the survey too?

I am not sure if that is a good sign or not but waiting for a response is making me anxious! Reference check and skill survey is the same think! Skillsurvey is the place where you input your reference information and they send the email of reference check for them to answer questions about you! Did you also received the reference check email?

Ohhh gotcha! LOL. No I haven't. They just mentioned it to me and They said they are making deicisions in about a week from my interview. It seems it varies every unit. My friend who got in last year, she got the reference check and the offer all in the same day.

OMG that's so nice! I think it really varies on the unit/ department! Which department did you interview for.! My unit said that they will be carrying out more interviews in the following weeks after I did an interview! So I am just waiting anxiously! When are you planning on taking your NCLEX?

Surgical specialties! Oh wow that must be so hard waiting for 2 weeks! I'm only waiting for a week now and I'm going crazy checking my email everyday. I have my license already!
