Accepted to the UNBC program for Sep start. Wondering if anyone has managed to get some updated info from the school as far as academic commitment/ week under the new course model. I've sent a few emails but no luck. Trying to figure out what part time work will look like under the new structure.
Also might be a silly question, but do we know if for online programs if the lecture times are flexible? New to the idea of distance learning.
Thanks!
I am sitting in the same boat as you... I emailed UNBC about the course schedule as well but didn't get a reply back. They did respond to my query about the fee structure for the new stream, saying it has gone to management and they will get back to me.
I have heard the class schedules really depend on the instructors teaching the course and may not be set until closer to Sept. Also, expect the class times/lectures to not be flexible. Online course that are not self paced are typically held live with student participation and recordings not made available. That being said, you never know!
How are the exams? I've started the course, working my way through the lessons/assignments.

@WJJ I found both the midterm and final very fair! You're allowed a cheat sheet with formulas/notes for both the exams.

I'm waiting too. I did email asking my place on the waitlist but haven't received a response yet. Just a waiting game I guess for now. I thought maybe there would be movement after the deadline for the students that were offered seats, which I thought was March 30th but maybe no one declined.

I was also waitlisted for UBC and was offered a spot on Monday! There was an info session that night with about 7-10 people (who I'm assuming had also been offered spots off the waitlist). The offer is available until April 29th so I would guess the next batch of waitlisted people will find out after that! Hope that helps and fingers crossed for you!
