Hi my name is Maria, I'm currently in the process for applying to Unitek in Bakersfield. I'm simply posting to see if anyone else was in the same boat.

Hey Maria!
I am apply for the August start date. I got an email this past week that was letting me know that August-December would all be online due to COVID and there is a cost increase/shift in the first year/term. I was not told what that would be.
Did you hear anything about this?
I haven't heard about any increase in cost. I am still waiting to hear if I am accepted into the program. My start date would be in October. I finished all of my prerequisites but an English course that I would take in October.
How long did it take till you heard that you were accepted into the program after submitting all the necessary documents?

Hi Maria
I applied unitek Bakersfield back in April and is esay to get into the BSN program, I heard the admission rep said they don't have much applicants so is less competitive compare to Fremont campus. I got accepted to the BSN program however I declined the offer because my interest rate for the student loan was too high. I got my LVN license from Fremont campus back in 2013.
Did you apply to the BSN program having your LVN?
How long till you knew you were accepted into Unitek? They are taking awhile to let me know..

Yes I had my LVN license when applying for the BSN. Based on my experience usually after the deadline within 2 weeks your admission rep will call you and let you know. I applied twice for Fremont campus BSN program.
How many times did you apply to the Bakersfield campus? Its been awhile since I’ve heard from them, but maybe its due to the changes from Covid.

I applied one time for the Bakersfield campus but twice for the Fremont campus. They usually have BSN program offer every 3 months about 4 times per year, the program is competitve.
Super competitive. I hope I get in, I liked the campus and all that they offer for their students.
Any RN programs or BSN programs you would recommend?

I trying out of state now since California BSN program is too competitive and tuition is expensive. I applied International College of Health Science in Florida for LVN to ADN program.
