Union University 2019

Anyone applying? Just have a few more things to get done then I will submit my application. I have never used Nursing CAS before but kinda like it to apply to the school. Priority deadline is October 15th.

Good luck to everyone on their interviews this week!

I'll see those of you there who have interviews today!

So I spent most of the morning driving around Jackson and exploring. I visted the campus but only drove around due to the rain.

From what I can tell, most of the popular businesses are around I-40. Jackson seems like a very nice town. The main hospital seemed pretty big and is located about 5 miles south of campus. Downtown seemed pretty nice but it is also the observation of Veterans Day so it wasn't very busy.

Campus is on the smaller side since it is a Division II school. My BSN was from a Div II school that was a similar size. Providence Hall, where the interviews are located, is on the West side of campus. White Hall, where the nursing classes are, is just to the south of Providence Hall.

Overall, I've had a fun day but just wish my interview wasn't in the afternoon. 24 hours to go.

You will be fine ! Just be yourself man !

Something I realized when interviewing at CRNA schools is that most of them will interview hundreds of applicants with a strong resume. What makes them pick their final list is if you personally fit their programs goals and interests. It's sort of like being inducted into a fraternity. Good luck out there and again JUST BE YOURSELF. They can usually tell when you aren't, and can make your interview horrible. For example, do not mention about ECMO, Oscillator , Swan if you barely take care of patients with those.

My interview experience with Union is great ! The SRNAs told us they interviewed from Monday to Friday. So, I guess we will hear something from them after Friday.

My interview is at 910am tomorrow. I figure there will be time after for a tour or something? How long should we expect to be there? I am also flying home tomorrow and just want to make sure I make my flight in Memphis!

I would say the entire process was 30-40 at the most, you should be fine.

Oh wow. That's not long at all! Thanks for the info. I hope the interview is at least long enough to get to know us!

I was in & out in about 45 mins. The earlier you get there, the more time you'll have with the current students, FYI. The interview is long enough for them to get an idea of who you are. Praying the best for all of us! Let the waiting game begin ;)

Riding around Jackson currently. I love the small town feel.

I received an interview invite also for Nov. 12th, very excited about this opportunity!!

How was your interview??

I thought my interview went well. They were all very nice, definitely a group of faculty and students that seem great to learn from and learn with. The waiting will be the hardest part. Have you interviewed yet?

Just finished my interview. The students and staff are so nice. I was still nervous as can be.
