I applied to Union University for the fall of 2021. This is my number 1 choice of program. Stats:

Total GPA: 3.61

Experience: 2.5 MSICU

Preceptorship

CCRN

Is there anyone else applying to this program for fall 2021? What are your stats? when should we expect to hear back from faculty regarding interview?

Congrats on getting interviews! Just be friendly, comfortable, and be yourself. They really want to get to know you. I felt they were super warm and welcoming. Other interviews I’ve done felt cold and drab. Make sure if you’re in a different state to keep the time difference in mind. Questions I was asked:

- Do you understand the role of a CRNA. Elaborate.

- Explain to me a day in your shoes on your unit.

- I see you have experience as a charge nurse and instructor for new hires and students. Explain to me your role in that.

- I see on your supplemental sheet here you work with these devices. Explain to me what this device is and how it works. From there they kept asking clinical questions depending on what I would say. Be prepared and make sure you know your expertise, mine being CVICU.

- Whats your perspective on religion and faith?

Interesting we work in the same specialty I was charge and oriented and I am certified on all devices and they didn’t ask me anything like that.

I was going to say the same thing. Really surprised they went into details there. The questions they asked me were very different.  My interview session seemed like I was being interviewed for a new grad position in an ICU instead of CRNA school. Oh well!!

So, just wondering, they called you and offered you an acceptance and then sent you an email that said that you have been waitlisted? Did they give any reason? That doesn’t sound promising. I'm sure I’m not the only one that was confused about that here if you don’t mind to clarify. Thank you!

I think you guys are confusing two different usernames. Mine is AspiringSRNA vs AspiringCrna.
