UNF Summer 2020

Published

Looking for anyone who is applying for Summer 2020 at UNF or has applied previously?

I currently have a 306 on the TEAS and a 3.9 pre-rec GPA. I will be retaking the TEAS to attempt to score higher, but if I do not, do you think I have a chance still to make it to interviews? Any tips will be much appreciated!

Hi everyone!

I just graduated from USF with a 3.5 cum GPA. I got a 331 on the TEAS on my first try. I also am applying to UCF. I got an interview for NOVA for the Spring 2020, but I deferred my admission since I’m currently waitlisted for UVA’s MSN direct entry program. Looking forward to hearing about possible interviews in the next few months!

Hey everyone! I am applying for the Summer 2020 APL program as well!! My prerequisite GPA is 3.75 and my TEAS is 338.9. I would like to know, are my scores high enough or do you suggest that I retake the TEAS??

I hope the best for all of you!!

@jess1022

Do you remember what the average amount of points was for Fall of 2019??

I personally think your scores are good! I just looked back on past emails from when I applied in Fall 2019. It says that there were around 875 applications. I can't find any info with averages for TEAs and GPAs. So far, it seems like this summer there way less applicants, unless a lot of people apply now. I retook the TEAS for a third time (I scored 335) and got the exact same score! I studied hard in the area I scored the lowest in, but ended up scoring a little less in the other areas. Oh well! If you feel like you could do better, I say go for it!

Good luck in getting invited to the interview!

Aww thanks @jess1022! I really appreciate your feedback! I hope the best for you getting an invite as well! Sometimes it feels frustrating when you wait for so long and you have NO idea what the school's statistics were from the fall of 2019. I originally started with a 3.87 for my prereq GPA but then it dropped to a 3.75 (I know, that is a huge difference!) because I took chem and then got a B. I basically have two B's and the rest are A's. I scored an 84.7% on the TEAS for my first try. Anywho, sorry for venting, I am just glad to reach out to y'all!

Good luck everyone!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to update, I only managed to improve my TEAS to a 310... We are getting so close I wish you all the best of luck, it really has been great having people who understand to speak with. ?

Hey! It is alright! Honestly, you never know! It depends on the cohort honestly. If your total added points is not in the 600s zone, then you have a better chance. So for example, you stated that your gpa is 3.9, this converts to 390. Added with your highest TEAS score (390+310)= 700 points

So if you get invited make sure you nail that interview

Thank you for keeping in touch!
I (last minute) decided to take it one last time today and scored a 329.3!
Hopefully we all make it to interviews and can continue to help each other along the way. It’s been great so far!

Wow! That is quite a jump, good job! I also hope that we all get an interview and granted admission!!

@Anatomyofnursing

If you do not mind me asking, what was your TEAS score when you got accepted last year?

Thank you!

Hey guys! I just applied for the summer accelerated program! My stats are 337.8 TEAS and a 3.83 Pre-req GPA. Fingers crossed that we hear back about interviews and good luck to all of you!

Hey! So I have a 3.87 gpa which I predicted will drop down to a 3.75 because I got a B in chemistry. But will it really drop down to a 3.83 like you've got? My chem class is 3 credits.

I think that it turned into a 3.83 because I got a B in my Anatomy and Physiology 1 Lab which was only a 1 credit course. So I'm not sure about your GPA. I found the prereq GPA that UNF is using through the degree evaluation section on mywings so I'd check there!
