UNF Summer 2014 BSN hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

Hey guys! i am pretty nervous since deadline is around the corner! i just want a heads up on what your status might be so i feel like i can stand a decent chance.. My preq GPA on UNF said it's 3.5 and an 86 TEAS score

Your TEAS looks great and the prereq is only an average. How do your points add up if you drop the decimals and add them? So, for example 3.40 GPA + 320 TEAS = 660. I think we will get ranked based on that number

Thanks for the kind works, HellooNursh! I sure do hope you are right.

Yikessss... all this interview talk is freaking me out! Right now I'm just panicked about GETTING the interview haha!

Mr. Po Po I think HellooNursh is right- the 'average' scores are just that- your scores are good so keep your head up and hopefully we all get interviews! :)

Don't let my optimism fool you. I'm plenty nervous! I'm just trying to keep myself calm. I had my first freak out moment. I'm waiting on one of my Fall prereq grades to replace my less than desirable Gen Bio grade from years ago. It hasn't done it yet on the audit. It would make a nice difference so I'm hoping it will be updated soon! DAHH! :)

Yes preparation is key! They asked things like, "what in your life has led you to want to be a nurse" and "how do you deal with stress". I have noticed that my audit hasn't been updated since the last time I applied. It only says department refer, and shows my application from last fall. I hope that's normal?

there is a section of the site that says application status, when you click on that there is a section that says student audit summary or something. once you get in there you can see your pre reqs GPA and the last transcript receipt date.sorry for my typos! I'm on my cell :)

Tomorrow is the deadline!! How's everyone feeling? I think we should hear about interview by Feb 15th! Nervous!!

Thank you, I found it! I'm not really nervous, just more excited than anything! So what led everyone to want to be a nurse? I'm guessing for some of you this is a second career because of the Accelerated track!

HellooNursh- Glad I'm not alone... but.... you are only on your first freak out moment!!? ;) I keep telling myself to breath and relax.. the app is in and can't do anything about it now except wait! But, that is definitely easier said than done. Definitely nervous and excited... can't wait to hear something!

Strial4- Yep, second career for me! I've always wanted to be in healthcare but ended up in health-focused nonprofit after college... after dreaming about being in a hands on role for a few years, I finally decided there is no time like the present and went back to finish the prereqs, and am now applying.

super nervous! i still never received the confirmation for the degree audit! she's been busy and haven't had the chance to go through every single candidate yet ! did you guys get the mail for "audit notice" yet?

Nope, I haven't gotten mine either... hopefully this week!

I do get those weird emails about the audit but i am 100% i submitted everything on time. So I try not to worry. Plus I have not yet received an email stating I'm missing something so that's good!
