UNF Summer 2014 BSN hopefuls

Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

UNF's programs are the only summer programs I'm applying to this time. I will apply to JU, FSCJ and possibly UF for fall. But, I'm trying to stay local to Jacksonville.

See because I'm from Orlando. I am aiming more for UCF or USF, but I think UNF would be a nice change. I've applied to two schools now but USF's process is taking longer.

How are you finding the competitive marks between the schools? Anyone expecting a little more umph than the other?

Hi All! I am also applying for the summer term... getting soooo nervous as the deadline approaches! I'm having a terrible time getting my fall transcripts to transfer over so I'm pretty panicked about that... I'm from Orlando and wish I could just hand deliver them! Anyway, good luck to all applying! hopefully we have the chance to meet at the interviews and start classes together in may :)))

Well so you got in, yay! What were your stats going in and any tips for the interview?! I actually have stalked the thread y'all used last year many times.. ha ha.

No clue what my interview score was?! Lol but I felt like I did well on it!

Welcome lexipark! I was nervous up until yesterday that my transcripts weren't going to get there! Hopefully yours make it! Are you applying for accelerated or regular?

missind3, I'm applying here and FSU, and probably FSCJ later on. I also want to try to stay in Jacksonville or Tallahassee (my family lives in jax). Yeah, you'll totally get an interview, I agree that all our stats are pretty good! I hope that doesn't mean that it's going to be too much more competitive this cohort:(

I think more serious students grace the forums. You know? So while I think that all of our stats are fantastic, I feel that the majority are going to either have incomplete applications or have lower stats. I've been nervous because my Teas score isn't that hot (could be better but I hate standardized tests). It's around average tho.

Welcome Lexi!!! I hope they make it in time. It's like chewing on nails when you're waiting like this!

And missind, I have a lower TEAS than you, but I have seen much lower than our scores get in to the program. I really think that your interview is what makes or breaks you. I believe our TEAS scores will get us to interview and interview will get us the rest of the way. Beth has said over and over again that 335 is the competitive mark. She also said back in November that she had around 70 applications at the time and the average was a 310. People with very high TEAS and GPAs in the past received some pretty low interview scores and it really hurt them. Know in your heart that you're doing the right thing and going in the right direction and the rest will get you there. Don't stress!! And I whole heartedly agree that the excited psychos are the ones stalking the boards lol!
