Hello everyone! I just got done with all my pre-reqs and need to take my teas! Who else is applying for this term?????
Hello everyone, I just found this thread because I can't stop obsessing over this wait! I applied for the accelerated track with a TEAS score of 381 and a prerequisite GPA of 3.88. I have a degree in computer science from UF and have slowly been taking my prerequisites at FSCJ while my kids are little. Now my youngest will be in pre-k4 in the fall and the time is now! I'm really hopeful that I'll get in - it seems reasonable to assume I'll get an interview based on my scores, but the interview has me biting my nails.
I've been trying to work out what the schedule is like, to try to work out how transportation for my kids would look. I tried looking in the course catalog and schedules based on the curriculum, but I don't think I'm getting the full picture!
Great scores! Once you get the invitation to interview, there is going to be a workshop organized by SNA at UNF and there you can ask questions about the interview. I have 2 kid, 2 year old and a 4 month old, so I understand your worries about schedule. I heard 1st semester is crazy and besides classes you will have clinical twice a week for APL that last 12 hours and start at 6:30am. Plus you have to do some community service hours each semester.
Karenld- how many children do you have? I have 3. My youngest will be in 1st next year, while my oldest will be in 10th grade. Continuing my education also had to wait until my youngest was in school full time, so I understand where you are coming from. I am also completely nervous waiting; I am hoping to get into a BSN program in hopes to be done before my oldest enters college herself. If that makes sense.
I have 2. My oldest is in 1st grade and my youngest is in prek3 this year. I had been planning on waiting until my youngest was in K, because logistics would be easier, but some life circumstances changed and hey, there's no time like the present! Luckily I have a lot of family and friends who can help out, since my spouse is working full time.
