UNE Accelerated BSN

Just wondering if there are any people applying for the new ABSN program at University of New England in Portland Maine. I am also interested in knowing if there are any current/past students who could comment on the nursing department at UNE (likes vs. dislikes, intructors/preceptors, etc.) Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Did you guys get any kind of email from UNE saying that they had received your application/ were reviewing it- before you got your acceptance?

I did not receive any kind of email from UNE saying that they had received my application but on the nursingCAS website it says they are verifying it, which means they must be reviewing it?

Hi All!

I called admissions this morning and they did not sugarcoat any information. All seats are filled for this coming Spring and there is a wait list of about 15 potential students. I found it a little surprising because the deadline on the nursingCAS says 11/30/15 but it seems like rolling admissions. I wish I knew that piece of information before hand instead of submitting my application/payment knowing that I wouldn't get an acceptance but default. Good luck to all!

Well thanks for that information. That cuts down one school for me. I am going to call and check with them Monday. I'll let you know if they respond something different.

Hi all! a little late to the party here but I just received my acceptance to UNE spring 2016 cohort! I was't expecting to start until next fall and I live in California, not sure if I should pursue? any ideas?

i checked in to the scores for the NCLEX and found that the test results are in the mid 70s and thats a big deal for me. I am no longer pursuing them but still have applied.... if I don't get accepted by any other school and I do by UNE than I think I will take the offer. However, their not my first choice.

I applied for Summer I 2016. I am still waiting on a decision. I emailed them right after the deadline (Dec 15, 2015). I never heard if they have my complete application like I have from other schools. I will still go if I get in and have not heard from other schools. It's really up in the air right now. On the other hand, I am career oriented and I know I can do it regardless of their pass rate. So in the end I just really need to get into any program to get certified.
