  1. Well her posts are really helpful, but I need practice on critical thinking questions....
  2. Thank you for this explanation. I want to know if there is a data base online that I can practice with critical thinking questions, I am having problems solving these questions as well. I am a technical thinker and even the simplest questions on the exam, I go blank. My foundations class is on the line!!! Thanks in advance!!
  3. Daytonite I just started the RN program. Foundations is killing me, every question is based off of critical thinking. I can not seem to wrap my head around these types of questions. Are there practice questions I can do that are online for me to get familiar with? What can I do to increase my grade in class??? I saw one of your other comments to a post and I would really appreciate any help you have to offer. Thanks in advance.
  4. I applied for Summer I 2016. I am still waiting on a decision. I emailed them right after the deadline (Dec 15, 2015). I never heard if they have my complete application like I have from other schools. I will still go if I get in and have not heard from other schools. It's really up in the air right now. On the other hand, I am career oriented and I know I can do it regardless of their pass rate. So in the end I just really need to get into any program to get certified.
  5. i checked in to the scores for the NCLEX and found that the test results are in the mid 70s and thats a big deal for me. I am no longer pursuing them but still have applied.... if I don't get accepted by any other school and I do by UNE than I think I will take the offer. However, their not my first choice.
  6. Thanks for the input, I am assuming that your in the traditional BSN program, not sure, I am applying for the Accelerated BSN program. Here in Texas the HESI is taken in order to get into the nursing program. I did not take it but have heard that its easier than taking the TEAS V exam that some schools are also requiring to take. So in order to get into the program your either taking TEAS V or HESI A2. Anyhow, I took the TEAS V and scored a Comp. of 74% over all which is alright.
  7. What difference does it make, whether you apply for Gainesville or Jacksonville?
  8. Well thanks for that information. That cuts down one school for me. I am going to call and check with them Monday. I'll let you know if they respond something different.
  9. In terms of the essay, I was referring to the entrance application essay. I am still in the process of applying. I have not completed my essay and waiting on a reference letter. I've got one from a professional business individual and another I'm hoping my Nurse Pract. can write one up for me from an academic stand point.

  11. I am currently applying for the Spring 2016 semester for the ABSN. I live in Texas. Don't know much about the program. If anyone can shed some light on it, that would be great. Also what is the school's expectation of an essay? Also, any one have the rate of passing for 2014 or 2015 of the NCLEX?
  12. I am a graduate student. I have my BSc in Biology with a Chemistry minor. I am wanting to get into an Accelerated BSN program so that I can complete my 2nd BA in Nursing and test for the NCLEX exam. I tried out for UT Tyler but didn't get in due to an over whelming number of students applying. I made a 74 on my TEAS V. Anyone have any ideas as to what would be my best bet to avoid wasting time like this. I know I should of applied for multiple schools, kind of too late for Spring 2016. I looked at majority of schools their wanting the HESI A2 exam and I don't want to take another exam. I'm all for out of stat--all in all, where ever the program is and its accredited --im all ears. Thanks for your time.
