  1. Hi everyone! I'm super excited to be starting in about 6 weeks! I was wondering where everyone is planning on living! I am considering a lease for the Main Street "lofts" aka studios, since it's really close to classes. Is anyone else planning on living there, or know anyone that has/ is living there? Also, taking out these private loans sucks! I'm pretty sure I'm going to use Citizens bank for some loans. Has anyone had success with other banks etc?
  2. Did you guys get any kind of email from UNE saying that they had received your application/ were reviewing it- before you got your acceptance?
  3. For those of you who have been accepted, did you hear by email or by snail mail?
  4. Yay, I got my acceptance! I'm wondering where everyone is planning on living? I know there are quite a few dorms on campus but I really don't want to live with undergrads (no offense)! It looks like there are a ton of apartments in the surrounding areas as well. I will have to call the housing office/ take a tour of the campus soon!!!
  5. I applied through nursingCAS, so I figured it was an automatic thing that they send out, but I was just curious if anyone else got it!
  6. Hi everyone! Congrats on all of the acceptances! Today I got a large letter in the mail from them, figuring it was an acceptance.... But no! It was an information pamphlet with a letter thanking me for my interest in the program and that I should apply when I want to. Well, I already applied about two weeks ago! Just wondering if this happened to anyone else!
  7. Hmmm I really don't know what to make of that, never heard of that happening before! It obviously comes down to your decision btw PA and nurse. I was deciding btw PA and nursing for a while and ultimately chose nursing bc there are soooooo many different opportunities. Also, NP and PA are very similar and you do have a bit more autonomy as an NP. I would call/ email them and ask why they offered you a spot in the absn program and see what they say! I think ultimately you'll be happy either way, they are both great professions!
  8. Hi! Congrats on your acceptance! I was also recently accepted but haven't sent in the VERY expensive deposit yet bc I'm waiting for a few other schools. It is definitely a great program and we will no doubt have a great nursing education! Right now I'm concerned about financial aid and picking a place to live! I think a lot of the students live in Waltham/ Framingham etc. have you decided where you will be living? At the interview I was told that there is new grad housing so also may consider that out of convenience...
  9. I'm just finishing my essay! It's so hard to write an essay that's so short! At first I uploaded it, but then I realized that we had to copy and paste it into the "questions" part so..... I had to cut it way down Also, still waiting for my stuff to be "verified" on NursingCAS for other schools, its torture!
  10. I just sent in my app through NursingCAS! How long after MCPHS confirmed receipt of your application did it take to hear back?
  11. For those of you who previously applied....did you apply through NursingCAS or through MCPHS' application? When I contacted an admission advisor, she said it didn't matter which one. However, there are several extra questions on the MCPHS app that aren't on the NursingCAS app. Just looking for some input!
  12. This waiting (for waiting list updates) is killing me! Anyone else?
  13. Oh, I see. I was under the impression that those on the wait list were not ranked...
  14. Does anyone have a guess as to why it taking this long to hear from the wait list? In previous years it seemed that students heard in February... I'm assuming it is that more students put down deposits/ are waiting to hear back from other programs....
