  1. Did you request information on the program from the school? did you apply through NursingCAS or direct to MCPHS? I wouldn't read much into it either but I would also call Admissions to check the status of your application for this reason. Good luck, hope to see you in a few months!
  2. Thank you! Last but not least, what do you suggest for a school supply list? I don't have a small tablet/PC and wasn't planning on purchasing one but I don't want to regret that once we've started. I have a laptop at home but it's large so I don't plan on lugging it around with me. I was planning on using the old pen & paper method but was looking for suggestions from someone already in the program?
  3. oh okay, so lab would be EITHER 1-3 or 3-5, not both? Just wondering. I have two little ones at home so I'm anxious to see the schedule to see where I'll be able to find some extra studying time at the school (cause my house doesn't become quiet til 8pm! lol)
  4. Sorry, I'm just seeing this! I'm pretty new to this community so I don't have the ability to PM yet. I'm really looking for a full overview of the program, study tips, and what the schedule looks like. I'm resigning from my job at the end of the year to attend this program and I have two small children at home, so I'm a little nervous about juggling it all. I work well under pressure and have always liked a full plate, but I've been warned that this program is extremely rigorous and even those who are living at their parents with NO children have struggled. Talk about scared to death:nailbiting:
  5. Sorry I'm getting to this late. Did you hear back yet? I submitted my application regularly, not through NursingCAS but I do know that the school is very quick on getting back to you once they have it.
  6. awesome! I haven't heard anything from them recently, I got my acceptance back in July and sent in my deposit. Other than that, nothing. Does anyone have any idea what to do about financial aid? I submitted my FAFSA and it says that it was processed, but again I haven't heard anything on that yet either. Getting nervous about how much will be covered and how to go about getting loans for the rest!
  7. Hey all! Just wondering if anyone else has gotten into the January 2016 ABSN program at MCPHS? 😊😊
  8. did you ever find out about the LOR's? I asked a friend of mine who just started their 2015 program and she couldn't remember but she doesn't think she had to send in LOR's for admission.
  9. I'm planning on applying to January 2016 as well! I'm also nervous about getting in. I applied to MCPHS since I'm next to Worcester and they're the only ones with a fall start and was denied. This totally threw my self esteem off. I know I'm not the most desirable candidate on paper but I could not find what it was in my applciation that would have caused my denial. I took all my pre-reqs at the community college that I recieved my associate's at so it's a little hard to tell what my pre-req GPA is and then my undergrad GPA (how could I use my pre-req grades to boost my undergrad GPA? or is that not possible since my undergrad is completely finished? LOL... so confusing). Pre-reqs: A&P 1: A- (3.7) A&P 2: A- (3.7) Micro: B (3.0) Chem: B (3.0) Stats: B (3.0) Life Span: A (4.0) So I guess my pre-req GPA is 3.4?? My undergrad GPA is a 2.85 I believe. Also, it's nice to see someone else on here with children. It gives me hope LOL. I'm due to have my second in a week and a half and don't plan to work much during the program either since I'll have to spend any free time I have focusing on my kids or studying -_-
