2015 undergraduate student BScN applicants

Published

Hello,

Just starting a post for everyone who is currently an undergraduate student looking to transfer into a BScN program in Ontario! I know were probably all stressing so it would be nice to hear where some of you are going and what you're applying with if you feel comfortable!

My top choice is Trent with my last 10 courses CGPA of 3.05, but i applied to all collaborative programs which is Ryerson, George Brown, Centennial, Seneca, Georgian, Mohawk with a CGPA of 2.5. I know my GPA is low but my highschool marks are good though, i got 94% in bio 90% in chemistry 84% in 4U math. Hopefully with that ill have a chance! So if anyone feel comfortable share your story!

1. What program's did you apply to?

2. What GPA are you applying with?

3. Any acceptances yet?

can you please keep us updated? It'd be great to hear someone with a similar situation get accepted :)

Of course! I'll update in this thread when/if they ever get back to me. You can also feel free to PM me if you have any other questions!

I got waitlisted for the 2nd entry program at Humber. GPA for last 10 credits is 3.32 (78%) on a UofT 4.0 scale if I calculated correctly. Good luck to everyone! So far 3.5 GPAs have been getting acceptances to the program.

My status is STILL 'no decision.' My transcripts definitely should have gotten there by now. I'm super annoyed.

Do they even have places left?

Hello,

I am really stressing, I have applied to all the same ones except for mohawk. Currently I have a 84 average from last semseter (Bio, Chem and Exercise Science) and I have a 91 Average this semester (Eng, Science, Families in Canada). What are my chances of being accepted to one of these schools?

Humber finally got back to me (three months after I submitted my application, ugh) and let me in.

I won't be going. The more I learn about the program, the less I like it. No summer vacations apparently, which I need to earn money for school. Barely any information, not for prospective students, not for current students, which I can't stand.

I'll be at GBC/Ryerson come September, so my Humber spot is open for someone on the waitlist :)

You should be in good shape. My high school top 6 was 93, and my sciences were in the mid-80s.

Best of luck, friend!

When did you get into GBC/Ryerson, Blaireeau?

Hey everyone,

I'm a senior student in Ontario and am excited to become a nursing undergrad. I applied to collaborative programs such as, Seneca/York, UOIT, Ryerson/Centennial etc. and have only received a few letter of admission, 1)Humber College for PN 2)Centennial/Ryerson for BScN. From what I heard, BScN is definitely the better choice but, I'm wondering what is the difference betweem the two and why are PN's getting paid less than RN?

Glad to be here with the future nurses!

Thanks!

Hello,

I applied to Ryerson's Nursing program as well as the Ryerson/George Brown Nursing program.

I applied with a 3.8gpa from George Brown. My high school average was 85.

Today I got waitlisted. I applied to both these programs last year and got declined admission, so I went to George Brown College for a year to bring up my marks. Nursing is extremely competitive, and I'm doubting my chances of getting an offer.

Oh the anxiety!
