Nurse0719- just mail- no email or status changes online yet

No email. No status change. Just letter in mail. Came today. I'm in Western NC.

Specializes in Oncology.

No mail. No status change. Nothing. I'm sitting here waiting and it's driving me insane.

Still waiting over here as well...Congrats to everyone who got in! Keeping the faith!

I was accepted into the BSN-MSN AGPCNP program part-time, but I'm 99% sure that I am going to decline...just need to weigh the pros and cons between ECU's DNP program and UNC's MSN. Turning UNC down will hurt my heart, as I am a Tar Heel girl!

I also was rejected last year, from ECU's AGPCNP program...and had no fall-back plan. I was completing my BSN at ECU at the time of my application, had 22 years of nursing experience, excellent grades, good GRE scores, a solid portfolio, and also felt I was a strong candidate. I was crushed...and then I looked to see what other schools were out there that I hadn't even thought to explore. I spent the next 6 months doing some things to better position myself for the next round...I joined the NCNA and ANA, I retook the GRE, I worked with the Duke NICHE program to obtain CEUs related to caring for the elderly, and I kicked up my volunteerism. So my advice is to look for areas to grow in the direction you want to head, and then keep on trying. I will say that, although they don't mention it on the UNC web site, they told us at the information session that they almost always place to the side any application that has pending pre-requisites unfinished...statistics, length of time in the appropriate clinical setting, RN-BSN program in progress (if applying to BSN-MSN program). They said that they did this because the competition is so stiff and the choices are so difficult. For fall 2017 matriculation they will be requiring all pre-requisites be completed by the date of application.

For those of you not accepted to the PMHNP program just a heads-up...it looks like ECU has an Psych Mental Health NP MSN program in development for 2017 matriculation.

Congrats to all who were accepted. I wish you all much success!

Hey everyone! I got my letter from UNC-CH in the mail on Saturday (accepted! woo!!). I never got an e-mail, though. The letter said I would be receiving an e-mail shortly with more details. I applied to their Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care track. Anyone else starting that program in the Fall?

Anybody heard anything about the 2016 FNP program? I was told letters went out at the end of last week....and "some applicants" were notified via email too....I have no email, no status change on my application and no letter yet...(but I live quite a distance from Chapel Hill) really tired of waiting!!!

I'm in the same boat as you, but I applied to the AGNP-ONC program. No email, no mail, but some of my colleagues either received acceptance letters yesterday or rejection emails Sunday. I'm assuming I'm wait-listed if I haven't received anything, but I'm in the dark like you are. I hope we find something out today because quite frankly, I'm mentally exhausted from waiting.

I would think if we were wait listed then we would also get an email or letter or something?? I agree though....mentally exhausting...so many things hang on this decision....

That's exactly what my fiancé said. Why wouldn't they send everything out at the same time? Mail times are a little unreliable too, so that gives me some hope. Good luck to you!

Like some of you, I haven't received anything in the mail or email. So I just called the admissions office and was told the first batch of letters was sent out Friday, and the second batch was sent out today. They said the mail goes to the university first and then to the post office, and to expect something by Friday. They also said a generated email would be sent out this week. I've applied to the AGNP Onc program. Good luck to everyone!
