Hey everyone, I wanted to start this thread for anyone applying to unc’s BSN program for the upcoming fall 2022 cohort. Applications are due in a week and I’m so nervous.

It says decisions come out by mail but they have always come by email in the past so I expect this year will be the same. As far as I know Chem is definitely a prerequisite at UNC.

Yeah hopefully they send them by email first.

Which Chem classes did you take?

Had to take Chem 101 plus lab and Chem 102 plus lab.

NURSING SCIENCE PREREQUISITES

Note: Some may also satisfy General Education Prerequisites

Psychology 101: Introduction to Psychology**

Statistics (STOR) 151: Basic Concepts of Statistics and Data Analysis — or — STOR 155 Introduction to Statistics — or — STOR 120 Foundations of Statistics and Data Science**

Biology 252/252L: Fundamentals of Human Anatomy and Physiology with lab**

Biology 253/253L: Advanced Anatomy and Physiology with lab**

Microbiology 251: Introduction to Medical Microbiology (lab required)**

Biology 101/101L: Principles of Biology

Chemistry 101/101L and Chemistry 102/102L: General Descriptive Chemistry — or — Biochemistry 107 and Biochemistry 108: Introduction to Biochemistry

Fingers crossed we hear on Monday! This wait is killing me, I'm curious to see how everything goes. Does anyone know their stats as far as accepting out-of-state applicants?

I’m not really sure about specific stats, but I was told that all applicants are placed in the same pool and viewed the same. Whether you’re an in state transfer, current UNC student, OOS transfer, etc.

So I emailed them and they got back to me early this morning, saying that admission decisions are going out in the next couple days via email!

Stick with it I didn't get in on my first try. I'm sure things will work out and that you will get your BSN one way or another. Good luck to you
