UMSON Fall 2018

I'm starting this thread in hopes of meeting other hopefuls for the Fall 2018 BSN program at University of Maryland School of Nursing. I've submitted my application, just waiting on my Official Transcript from Towson before I submit the supplemental papers for my application. I've also applied to Towson University. Feel free to share your stats as we all ride out the wait together. Good luck to everyone!

I have the same issue and just called. They said as long as it is a Summer 1 course, which yours is since in ends in the beginning of summer, then it will not be an issue. You just send in your updated transcript as soon as you complete the course.

Are any of you non traditional students, like older or with children? I'm freaking out about starting this with kiddos and I'd love to connect with others in my situation.

Idk what's considered older lol but I am old enough to have a 10 year old lol. Which campus are you attending? (Baltimore for me). I wouldn't mind a new friend

Well I guess we're in the same situation. I'll be 30 later this year. And I'm a mom lol so I would definitely be able to relate to you. Which S.T.E.P l orientation are you attending? (I'm going to the 1st one on May 22nd)

Did anyone's status change to confirmed? I'm provisional admit, so it says "provisional-admit-confirms"... And Lauren (student mentor/advisor) called me the other day, and i received my official school email, so now I feel like it's really real lol. Im a little too excited

@kdv1974 I am also attending Shady Grove, in my 40s and have 5 kids (3 bio and 2 bonus). Mine are 22 (bonus son), 20 (bio son), 19 ( bonus son), 17 (bio daughter), and 10(bio son). It should be an interesting school year. My daughter will be a senior next year and is very active in sports. Thankfully I have a decent support system.
