Who is applying?
Has anyone recently heard from Umson, like getting their packet in the mail be it admission, wait list, or denial. I know some people are still waiting on their status to change and i think thats quite weird being that almost everybody knows where they stand plus this is a new week. Anyway can we please keep each other posted when anything changes.
Hey everyone! I am new to this and thought I should join to gain more info!
My app status changed to 'provisional-admit', so once I finish the class I am in now with a 3.0 or better I am admitted!
I am so happy! Does anyone else have this status?!
I am worried about deadlines as my finals are not until May 22nd...and it takes close to 2 weeks or more before the school would get my transcript :/ does anyone think that could be an issue?!?
I look forward to getting to know everyone!!!
@summa, I'm not an school rep, but no, I doubt that's an issue. People can even take summer classes and those transcripts often aren't ready till July/August. If you were to do poorly, they wouldn't be able to revoke your offer until they had your transcripts, but I believe they anticipate that your transcripts will arrive in late spring/summer. I wouldn't worry about it one bit.
Thank you @BusyBee91 for the reassurance! I feel that I, along with so many others have stressed and worried so much about admissions and I would hate for one mistake or missed deadline to screw everything up!
I also missed the phone call and have been trying to get ahold of the admissions person that left me a voice message...
I feel like I have so much to do, yet I'm not even sure what all I need to do! I wish they provided a checklist with dates/deadlines and details!
I am a current student at UMSON. Summasun016, your wish is my command. There's a whole lot of information on the UMSON website. Go to nursing.umaryland.edu then click on "accepted students" on the menu to the right side of the screen. Then choose the tab that best describes you (e.g. Baltimore student, Shady Grove BSN, CNL, etc., etc.). Much of the information will also be in the package that the school is likely in the process of mailing to you as well.
thank you @MusicToMedicine! I saw that on the accepted students page, I am just worried there's extras. would you recommend sending everything in one large envelope once I have everything, or should I send things in individually as they're ready to be sent in?
@jdvcj, have you created a username and started doing the accepted student stuff? I just don't know what all I should do before I get my final grade, although I am sure I will be passing the class.
I guess I should go about everything as if I am in, even though I'm technically not yet...
I am doing the CPR certification late May and have a Dr. apt set up for the physical and shots... Are the forms for the dr. to fill out in the UMB Student Health link? (Visit UMB Student Health for details.)
What class are you in now?

That was me. The first time I called admissions they informed me we'd all know by last Friday. After my status not changing I called again and they informed me that decisions will be sent out until the end of the first week in May... So done worry if it hasn't changed.
