Am I in the wrong place?? I would think that there would be a lot of chatter with the deadline being tomorrow!

I am sure there are oodles applying. Now...where is everyone?!

I am accepted into Shady Grove Campus.

That is what I think according to the webpage:

Send original health report to student health in Baltimore by mail, a copy email to Ms Kathie Dever.

Send a copy of CPR card and the proof of flu vaccine both to the admissionoffice and Ms Dever by email or fax

If I am wrong, please correct me.

That is correct, but it would help if you would note in your email or fax (email is preferred) whether you have sent these things to both places as Shady Grove will make sure they are sent to Baltimore as backup. You will need the flu shot for 2012-13 which will not be available until July or August. The old one is no good any more so no need to send a new one.

I already registered a CPR class on June. Hope it is not too late. Wish I can get the CPR card and new flu shot at the same time so that I can send them out together before the orientation.

More questions:

I am going to register classes recently. There are several forms on the registration page: approval-to-register 2012 form, change of advisor request form, independent study contract, etc.

I am wondering how many forms we need to fill out. Is it ok that I just send the Approval -to-register only to Ms Dever?( I suppose Ms Dever will be our advisor in this process). Do we need to copy it to anyone else?

All you need for now is the approval to register form. You do not have to have an advisor sign it for your first semester but will for following semesters.

Hi finally know what I am and that is waitlisted -_- do you all know how that works in md. I was told there are two extra lists one for sg and one for bmore. Is it demographics or numbers?

I bought my scrubs and supplies at www.medisave.net. I bought a labcoat, but you really don't need it (personally, I would invest in another set of scrubs instead).

You should really buy your books online because they are WAY cheaper than the bookstore. But if you want to get them directly from the bookstore, then you can order them online from the UMB bookstore.

Also, you have to order the patches for the scrub top from the bookstore and your nametags. I would suggest that you do that ASAP because the nametags take a while to get there. You don't have to pay the shipping cost. If you are at SG, they will send them to Kathie Dever and you pick them up from her.

Also, Im selling all of my books (except for the care plan, drug and lab test books) for $400. This includes all the required texts for 304, 315, 333, 320, the recommended lab book for 304 and a size small lab coat.

The school uniform is the same for CNL & BSN students. Pants must be scrubs not regular Khakis - they just need to be khaki colored.

I just finished up my 1st semester at UMB wanted to mention the school uniform: the student handbook says no cargo-style scrub pants but there were people in class this semester that wore the cargo-style and it was fine. It also says you need white leather shoes, but a number of people had solid colored Dansko nursing shoes and no one had any problem with it that I heard of. As for the white lab coat- I used mine one time the entire semester and I know a few people who got away with not using one at all.

Congrats to everyone who is about to start in the Fall! It can be rough at times, but you'll learn soooo much and you'll love it!
