UMSON BSN Spring 2014

Hi Grey Lady (or those in-the-know)

I'm trying to get a very accurate idea of cost for the BSN program at UMSON. The tuition information on the website is difficult to understand and put together. Someone previously said about $5,000/semester. This is helpful, but I need something more definite. Since this is career #2 for me and I'm still paying off large loans from the first time around, the difference in cost between TU and UMSON might be the deciding factor (if I'm accepted to UMSON, of course.) If only I really knew how big the difference was. Do you recommend I contact an advisor to get more information?

The tuition breakdown is very difficult to follow. If you get info from the an advisor would you share your findings here? I'm an in-state student and can't find this information anywhere!

Spoke with administrator at my second choice. Notices of acceptance probably won't be ready before next week.

So that means I'm waiting on both. (I got a clue that let me know it's highly probable I'll make the cut, but still gotta know for sure.)

I'm thinking about not checking my UMSON status until after next week. I'll check this forum because I'm certain someone here will give the heads up if notices are issued earlier.

And the wait continues.... :nailbiting:

What is your second choice?

An ADN program in my area.

Without elaborating pointless details, things have been difficult for a short while. I'm looking forward to good news either way so I can start moving in a positive direction somewhere.

Would you please tell me if wait listed applicants hear back first or not. Is there any special consideration for wait listed applicants? I want to know since I was wait listed for Fall 2013. Thank you.

Do you all know if we're going to get calls or just have the change of status on our applications as well as regular mail?

I'm basing this on the umpteen UMSON threads I've followed the past couple of years. It seems like applicants in previous cycles find that there status is changed before they receive a phone call. Then a week or so later they get their letter in the mail with all the necessary paper work etc.

I've also been checking the schools website for clues to when they'll be calling, like if they've changed their orientation info etc.

Clearly, I'm really pumped to find out. Like, on 10.

Girl what! I've been checking the 'accepted students' section to see if they've change 'fall of 2013' to 'spring of 2014.' Any hint its coming down the pipeline would be a god-send.

Haha! Yes! I am telling you we're desperate. If only they based part of their decision on how many times we've obsessively checked the website, we'd be set.
