Hello!!
Did anyone apply yet? I submitted my application and documents in, but NursingCAS is a bit annoying. I had to call them several times about them claiming to not receive all the pages from my references How are you guys making out with the process?
BSN to be, I don't think anyone but Enrollment Services could fully answer your question, because we as applicants or students don't know every single person that has applied and been accepted/rejected or their situation. I've seen in threads where people who have been just under the GPA requirement have been accepted due to other factors, and I have seen people who have met the requirements who have been rejected or pushed back to later semesters. I think it all depends on the school's discretion - for instance, if they have a large amount of applicants who are qualified, obviously some qualified applicants will be rejected or get a delayed acceptance, because there are only so many seats. On the other hand, if there are very few applicants and only some of them are qualified, they might make exceptions for those who are close to the GPA requirements and have good real-life experience or display other desirable qualities.
Plus, the fate of other applicants doesn't necessarily say anything about your likelihood of being accepted or rejected. Like coolbsn said, you haven't been rejected yet, so keep your chin up!
I still have not heard from UMDNJ yet. I sent them my syllabi as requested an am trying to patiently wait (I'm trying not to think about it lol). I agree tho, that no news is good news!!
Also, I heard that in the past they would consider people with GPA's just below 3.0 if they had strengths in other areas. But I think within the past year, they have become more strict and automatically reject applicants who do not have the 3.0 minimum.
enilrek, I think it's depends on the applications pool. Usually, they do not receive too many applications For Spring cohort, so on other hand they need to fill sits with the students.
However, UMDNJ does not requires TEAS test, face to face interview or even phone interview, so only one criteria would be GPA scores!!!
For example, if they got 250 qualified applicants and their average GPA is 3.05. But, they have only 55 available sits for spring semester. So, at this point they must reduce 3.00 GPA. Because, not everyone registering in to program off of already accepted students.
The reason for that; NursingCAS application system. This is central application system,if UMDNJ was not use Nursing CAS, they cant get more applications from out of the state. Nursing CAS is great adversiment for all Nursing schools. For example; California or Seattle residents has no idea, about the UMDNJ (but they can see UMDNJ and min requirements on the NursinCAS's school list) and UMDNJ does not require TEAS exam or interview, then they apply to this program from their hometown, besides their hometown's Nursing schools.Because, everyone try to make guarantee their acceptance somewhere in the country. When accepted from other programs, they would not register to UMDNJ then more sits becoming to available for next qualified applicants in the pool.
Hello everyone,
For those of you who got accepted and completed the financial aid form, did you have to provide with the copy of the taxes? I ask because my macbook's hardrive was replaced and I have lost everything including the copy of my last year's taxes. I asked IRS and it takes 60 days to get a copy in the mail. I called the school and they were reviewing my application today they said, Im keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok, that answers it cuz I know that they are very strict with the minimum 3.0 GPA
The real question is, did anyone who completed all the requirements corrrectly get rejected?
