I am a new member trying to get information about the UMDNJ ABSN program and thought the best and most accurate information would come from fellow students who have already successfully applied to the program.
I am currently taking the one prerequisite I need before I can apply (Anatomy & Physiology II) and recently attended an information session. One thing that left me with questions was about the 5 year rule on some of the classes (A & P I and II, Microbiology).
I am hoping that someone can clear my confusion on this. I graduated with a BS in Biology in May 2009. I took A & P I my last semester and am taking A & P II now. When it comes to Micro I took it Spring 2008. Now does that mean I am ok applying for Fall 2013? I tried emailing someone to ask with not much luck. Do you guys think it would be a problem and I should retake it? Anyone was or is now in the same boat?
I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. According to other threads about previous semesters it can take up until the very last minute to receive an acceptance letter. Also, keep in mind this is the Fall semester which usually has the most applicants so it could take longer to go through them all.
You're probably right! Did you get a regular sized envelope sent as an acceptance letter or did they send you a larger envelope with more info in it including your letter?
It was a larger envelope which included the letter, deposit amount/deadline, criminal background check form, physical and immunization forms, and orientation date.
I definitely will. Also, I didn't see anything about an orientation date or anything. I wonder if there's something I missed. Did you get anything on that?
Once you send in your deposit you will receive an email with your student ID #, how to activate your netID, and also the orientation date. For the Newark Campus it is Tuesday, August 13 from 8 am-5 pm.
Accepted to Newark Campus! Anyone else try to set up their NetId and Rutgers email? (Apparently it is officially Rutgers now, and no longer UMDNJ?). After setting up my NetId I can access the MyRutgers Portal, but can't seem to get onto my email.
