UMD SON CNL Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Anyone else applied for spring 2018 at University of Maryland School of nursing CNL?

I was checking out the bookstore site and they have books available for the majority of the classes we'll be taking. My friend told me to check out Compare College Textbook Prices | Buy and Rent College Textbooks | SlugBooks to see where the best deal is for the book you're wanting to purchase or rent.

SOOO I just received a email yesterday that they have been attempting to request an interview!!! I called right away, I have not received anything... After speaking with CNL Coordinator I searched inbox and junk, nothing! BUT I'm setting up an interview!!! What did y'all wear? Do I need a jacket? I can't hardly stand it! My application has been completed since June 10!!!

I posted this on the other page too... Any good vibes appreciated! 11/2 @ 10!

I wore a nice top with a skirt and jacket. Good luck!

Is anyone signed up for the Dec 19th STEP orientation?

Good luck all, and congratulations to everyone that's been accepted! I am in my fourth semester of the CNL program after starting in fall 2016, and will be graduating in December of 2018 (I am on an extended plan, but started the program full-time). Feel free to ask any questions that you might have! (Also, the admissions office isn't super great at responding to students in a timely manner - in regards to the STEP orientations). :)

Yep, I am!

Yes I am. So excited to start making friends!

Please let me know how it goes I'm thinking about applying

I have just registered for the Dec 14 step 1 orientation is there anyone else attending this one?

I'm registered for the Dec. 14th orientation!

Posting this on a few forums, but I have a question about the UMD CNL program that I haven't been able to get a clear answer on. Completion of the program earns a Masters degree - but, in what specifically? It sounds like it's not in nursing, but is it a general masters degree?

Also: do you know if, with this degree from UMD SON, one could complete a post masters certificate program to enter into advanced practice nursing (FNP)?

Or would you need a Masters in Nursing? Trying to get things straight and the wording from the website is a bit vague. Any idea?

Thanks!
