Hi guys! I know it's a little early... but just wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to the UMD CNL program for fall of 2018. I just submitted my application!
SimSmo, not sure about that, but I did discuss the differences in the program at my interview at UMD. My interviewer said that (in a nutshell) the JHU cohort seems to come largely from across the country, and those people scatter across the country and globe after graduation, whereas UMD seems to attract people from the local and regional area, and many stay and work in the immediate area. I have heard that JHU has a more global focus, though at accepted students' day, they sure showed that students (at least while in the SON) are obviously very rooted in Baltimore and do a lot in the Baltimore community. I am not sure about differences in job prospects, other than the obvious: UMD grads can sit for the CNL exam. At the JHU SON accepted students' day, at least half of the panel of current students (people graduating this June and others who have another year to go) said that they plan to almost immediately enter the DNP program. (The others said they plan to go right to work as bedside nurses.)

@JulietMei, have you decided where you'll enroll? JHU or UM?
