Ok guys, this is the new thread for everyone who is applying to the UMB FALL 2010, BSN or CNL Program . Good luck to all.
Has everyone's status gone: Complete Ready for Review?
Hello All,I have been following this blog for awhile....starting to become a bit anxious over not hearing. I applied to the RN-BSN program. I suppose no one has heard yet? I was told that we would hear by the middle of April (today). :) My status is still "Complete, Ready for Review", as it has been since February. I actually was a bit last minute on my admission materials, but I am hoping for the best, since my test scores are good and I have a 4.0 in all coursework. The waiting is killing me!
I also applied to the RN-BSN program and have not heard anything yet. I was told that we might have to wait until the beginning of May.
Yeah, I am thinking that it may as late as May 1st; I think I had heard someone else on here say that, too. I was told by the school that they would be sending out RN-BSN letters April 15th at the latest. I sent an email to the school...still awaiting a reply. Just also a bit worried that my status has NEVER changed. Has anyone's status changed? I know that they had 40+ applicants and only 15-20 seats. We'll see. Everything is done on my part...waiting in suspense is the part I hate.
Perhaps Gray_Lady has some info for us?
Meawy,
I suppose since I am new, I cannot reply/send messages? Until I have 15 posts? Sorry!
But no, I don't mind sharing info.
#1) I believe they gave us the option to take 1 of the 2 tests? I believe it was the TEAS I took, and if I can remember correctly, I got mostly 90s.
#2) My nursing GPA was 4.0 -- I graduated valedictorian of my school.
Thanks, Meawy. Your info is awesome, too. I'm pretty sure that they haven't made decisions, either! Hopefully, we'll be "in-class" together this fall :)
I suppose maybe we should just calm down a bit and be patient. Instead of freaking out, I'm going to enjoy this wonderful day...nothing better than a sunny, 80 degree day in April! I'm sure we'll get good news -- hopefully sooner than later, lol.

All but one of your classes are during the day and that class meets 5 to 7:30 on Monday and Tuesday nights your first semester. At least that has been the schedule - there can always be changes. Clinical rotation schedules vary and signing up for them is basically a lottery. They can be 6, 8 or 12 hour shifts, usually twice a week after your first semester.
The Shady Grove campus is open to the public so you may drop by anytime to walk around and do not have to show ID to go anywhere. Please contact me if you would like to drop by my office and, depending on the day, have a tour of our state of the art, brand new nursing labs.
