Can anyone give me any information for the Accelerated BSN program at UMass Dartmouth? I am applying for the 2021 Fall class. Thanks!

I applied to three schools in Boston but they were NP programs and I applied here as a cheaper alternative in case I either don’t get in to the NP programs because theyre competitive or if they cost too much after aid/scholarships. I wanted to be in reasonable driving distance so I don’t have to move. Did you already take the TEAS or know how heavily they look at those scores?

What schools did you apply for in Boston? Are they direct to MSN programs? I was looking at a few of those. However, I am in Middletown, RI, and that would be a long trek for me to make!

I was accept to BC direct entry DNP and Simmons direct entry FNP. I am still waiting to hear from northeastern which was a direct entry MSN for adult NP. UMass was my back up to get started on the RN route but my end goal was NP. They allow you to work for up to two years after getting your RN I believe or you can choose part time for the masters portion so you can also work

I also just received an email stating I was accepted to umass Dartmouth’s ABSN program as well

Oh wow! Really? So soon? I never received an email. Maybe that means that I didn't get accepted. Do you know if it states anything on the application page? It still shows that my pre-requisites are needed on the application page, even though I gave them all of that information.

I was looking at MGH, since I'm a little late on the application process for the others. However, they still require the GRE, which I have never taken.

I submitted mine early January so maybe they look at them as they come in? The site date isn’t until feb 15 so I’m not sure how their acceptance process works.

I emailed the advisor, but he never responds. My application still says "Incomplete " for the prerequisites. Maybe because I'm working on Chemistry now...I don't know. He never responds to let me know if there is anything else that needs to be completed. Do you know if they review them through your transcripts, or do I have to send something to them directing them to the transcripts that contain that information?

I’m honestly not sure. All my pre reqs were complete when I applied. So everything was all set and I didn’t have to update them on transcripts. It took about a week or so for it to be updated as complete at the time I sent them in.

I just noticed that ANOTHER transcript that I had sent to the school was not included in my application. This is the second one. I've contacted the advisor, again, asking if they've received it. I feel like these are all signs that maybe this won't work out, LOL! UF was so easy to apply to, even though it required more!

I would call if you’re having this many issues. Especially during covid some people may not still be hired or part of the admissions process. I didn’t have any trouble applying so maybe it would be best to speak with someone directly.

Thanks. I'm going to do that. ?

I was emailing Matt I believe before submitting it. I’m not sure who you were emailing

Matt. I found an old email with his phone number, so I called and left him a message.
