UMASS BOSTON traditional BSN 2017

Hello everyone, i was accepted to the fall BSN intake at UMASS Boston and was wondering if anyone of you has been able to register for the beacon beginnings orientation. i tried several time but all in vein. reached out to the IT department for my login info but they said that they would send out log in info in Feb. Does anyone have any update about registration?

Hi : ) Registration for students starting in the fall hasn't opened yet. The registration link that was up was for students starting in JAN 2017 so if you put in your credentials it wouldn't have worked since you were accepted for SEP 2017! Registration for the fall should be up around the 1st of March but I've been checking the site everyday just to make sure I don't miss it. Hope this helps : )

thank you so much for the update, will keep on checking. Is anybody taking the nursing seminar over the summer? Am doing so, starting off with clinical in the fall.

I am trying to take that over summer, but I was told we need to do orientation before we are able to sign up. What did they say to you?

.... I was told that I could asking admissions let me take the seminar over the summer time so I could start with the nursing stuff over te fall.. but I have never been a student at UMass Boston.. might that be the reason why I am not being able to sign up for the seminar yet until after orientation?

I also finally got my financial aid so I know how much money I'll have to take on a loan to start school.

i have to take the seminar over the summer. during orientation we were told that we can take this class in order to get into the clinical s.. am so surprised that people are talking about registering after orientation. the last time i communicated with my adviser,i was told that i will be able to register personally online when the registration for the summer classes opens and this is in April. This is my second Bachelors, i can not justify taking it over a period of 3 years. i got my admissions to Simmons college for the 16 months ABSN, It's on a pricer side but still considering it.

I transferred into UMass this past fall. I had a 3.9 from my previous school which included lab courses such as A&P I (A-) Microbiologyl (A-) and A&P II (A) and I think I got an 86% on the TEAS because I was a bit rusty on my life sciences and hadn't yet taken any chem. Anyway, I got denied but they offered me a spot in Biology which I accepted.

So, I once again applied this time as an inter-college transfer for Fall 2017 and I finally got in! I was beyond excited, I pulled off a 4.0 in the fall and winter so that really helped.

However, waiting on a decision from MCPHS accelerated nursing. More optimal for me since I can get done in 16 mos as opposed to 2+ years. We'll see....

I'm anxiously waiting on their decision. I applied this 1st Feb through intercollege transfer, and wondering who else got an email or mail regarding their application and what's your TEAS and GPA score? GPA is 3.6 then my TEAS is only proficient.

Where in the curriculum would all of you be starting? I have every prerequisite done so it looks like I would only have to complete 5 semesters until graduation, still haven't heard from anyone regarding orientation.
