I called the admissions office today to double check as well! The person I spoke with said that letters would be going out at the end of this month! So the date I'm telling myself right now is January 5th ... I am counting down the days! I am applying to MCPHS, and Simmons College as well as Bunker Hill. My first choice, of course, is UMB! Fingers crossed! Good luck to everyone!!

I checked my application status today (fall 2017, transfer nursing BSN) and it says a decision has been made and a letter would arrive within 14 days.

I'm freaking out.

I'm worried because I haven't completed many of the sciences yet. I'm in A&P I now and taking A&P II and Micro next semester, then planning chem over the summer. I took all my English courses, humanities, stats, etc. but I'm nervous that since I don't have much science under my belt they won't accept me yet.

So beyond sick about this!

My GPA is 3.74 and my TEAS score is 80.7%. I got an A- in Biology and I currently have a B+ in A&P I, my final is next week.

Anyone in a similar situation with their prereqs?

I've completed almost all of my pre-reqs (except for gen-bio - my school allowed us to take human bio as a pre-req for A&P ... so if I am accepted I'll kind of have to back track and take that class) but if it offers you any encouragement I've seen people with zero to very few sciences under their belt get accepted. You have an excellent GPA and a great TEAS score! Fingers crossed that the letters come sooner rather than later! Best of luck!

Mine says a decision has been made too! I am so nervous!

And I do not think not having all the sciences completed is a big deal! It seems you did well on the TEAS and have a good GPA, so I think you have a really good shot!

I noticed a few new tabs! Like holds, to-do list, student admission etc! Looking at threads from previous years this seems to be a good sign! Is anyone else noticing these tabs?

I have had tabs from the beginning at the top drop down menu like "holds", "to do", financial aid" and others like that.

But new tabs on the main page are in blue like "holds" and "to do" are placed under the green "search for classes" button.

I hope this is a good sign!

OK i'm freaking out. Did you all apply for "early action?" I think I applied for early action (that was the Nov deadline) and I just read that that is just for freshman and that if you don't get in with early action you need to reapply. I was expecting a decision letter this month but now my guess is the letter is going to say I am not eligible for early action as a transfer student, and I need to reapply.

Anyone else????

deadline was November 1st for traditional nursing program for everyone, unless you were an intercollege transfer and that one was a little later

no need to worry! students applying for the nursing program were the one group of students (accept for freshman) who they encouraged to apply on the Nov. 1st deadline. I spoke with the admissions office about this and any nursing student who applied early action will get their decision soon (this week or next). They are still accepting applications but the spots may be filled (by those of us who applied by Nov 1 and were accepted) and students who applied after Nov 1 will likely have to wait until the spring for their decision. Hope this helps!

No letter yet! I am hoping we get them by Friday. I called the admissions office again (because I'm a crazy person : ) ) and asked when we should be getting the letters. I was told that they were sent on the 17th so it should be any day now. The person I spoke with told me that by law she cannot give my decision over the phone but that she would not be surprised if I was "pleased" with the decision that was made. I'm pretty sure she was hinting but I'll wait for the letter before getting too excited!
