Hello everyone! I have applied to Umass boston nursing school last month . Now everything is completed except I need to take the teas V exam (which I am taking next week) and I would also like to know if anyone out there took the teas at Umass boston and also if you applied for fall 2015 since the deadline was december 1.
So right now my major is Biology (Pre-med track), and although I love it, I also know I'll love nursing. My plan is to do Nursing (find work of course), then apply to Med school. I know there is a bunch of controversy with doing it that way, but I've always known I wanted to work in medicine and honestly I've never been sure whether or not I wanted to be a nurse or doctor. I think nursing may be a better fit though since I really want to be involved with my patients. So I figure I'll try for both!
Right now I'm taking Bio 112 and Chem 115 and Chem 117, what about you? How do you like EHS?
EHS is great so far, but my ultimate dream is to become a nurse! Those courses are good, I'm taking EHS 280, BIOL 209, a language, and history... But this is my last semester finishing all the pre-reqs for the nursing program, so I really need to get into a program soon or continue with EHS till I get accepted.
Oh man, I know what you mean, have you applied to the program before or is this your first time? The waiting is driving me nuts! I really want this, I love the medical field. You put me in anything having to do with medicine and I love it! If I don't get in this time there are only like 3 classes I can take to follow along with the nursing curriculum, so I really hope I have a shot. Have you thought of (as maybe a back up plan) to go ahead with a degree outside of nursing and then do the accelerated nursing? I really hope you get in this time though! Your gpa is good and you scored proficient on the TEAS, you definitely have a good shot!

Haha, yeah the TEAS was tough! I was so nervous during the test! I'm 25 and barely a sophomore (started school late), I really hope I get in! I heard that they were in the process of dismissing like 60 current nursing program students from the program because their grades weren't cutting it, so that gives us better odds í ½í¸†
