UMass Boston accelerated BSN 2013

Hi all,

I saw a topic for people that applied last year, but wanted to start a new one for everyone applying this year. Still a long time until the application deadline, but I have some questions I hope others might be able to answer:

1. Has anyone that's applied before sent extra rec letters? I think they said something about this during my info session, but I can't remember. I don't want to just make them think I wasn't paying attention to the requirements.

2. Does anyone know the translation service they said to use for non-English transcripts?

Thanks! All the info sessions are filled up, or I'd just go to another one!

Yes, my status has changed but I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet.

This is what the status says:

A decision has been made regarding your application. You will receive formal notice in the mail within 14 business days. Thank you for your interest in attending the University of Massachusetts Boston.

I'm thinking that this is not good news because if they've made a decision without having interviewed me that would mean I did not get in...

That's what I was thinking too! Hopefully it's not true... Has anyone been invited for an interview?

I have not heard anything back. My status has not changed. And no interview. I am wondering if they have forgotten about me...

I emailed the admin person for the ABSN department a couple of weeks ago and she said they start reviewing applications Feb 15, so I'm sure they haven't sent requests for interviews yet. I think the emails requesting interviews go out in early March. I am waiting too. good luck to everyone!

My status also changed, stating "a decision has been made..." which worried me as I had not been notified of an interview. I called admissions and she said that the letter in the mail will tell us if we are denied or offered an interview, which was obviously a relief. Try not to stress too much guys, and best of luck!

My status changed to "A decision has been made..." a week ago (last Friday) but I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet.

Hi all,

i applied to the accelerated nursing program as well and havent heard anything. My status hasnt changed yet either. Im starting to think they forgot about me too. Has anyone else heard anything?

My status just changed today, says I'll receive something in mail within 14 working days.

Do you know what date your application was received?

I email them today and they said the committee is still reveiwing the applications and deciding what the next step will be. My status still hasnt changed
