does anyone have any idea of the cost of the program? when i went to the info session, they refused to tell us the total cost of the program. i called again, and they wouldn't even give me a ballpark--they said it depends on the classes you take (day/night, online/in person, etc). anyone have any intel?

I have a million questions I can't seem to find answers to. I can't go to the open house, and they aren't responding to emails, so I'm hoping someone here can help out... 1. How necessary is having a car? I was hoping to just rely on public transit, but will that work out with clinicals? 2. When will we get our schedules? 3. When are financial aid packages coming out? I feel like I'm so far behind on loan apps! Thanks all!

Has anyone called admissions? I didn't get a confirmation, so I called yesterday. The woman I spoke to told me to email admissions...maybe I called the wrong office? I don't want to overload them with yet another email!

Hi all, I saw a topic for people that applied last year, but wanted to start a new one for everyone applying this year. Still a long time until the application deadline, but I have some questions I hope others might be able to answer: 1. Has anyone that's applied before sent extra rec letters? I think they said something about this during my info session, but I can't remember. I don't want to just make them think I wasn't paying attention to the requirements. 2. Does anyone know the translation service they said to use for non-English transcripts? Thanks! All the info sessions are filled up, or I'd just go to another one! Good luck to everyone applying

I'm having a major crisis (at least it feels that way...). I submitted my application for an accelerated nursing program before the Nov. 1 deadline. I had all my rec's lined up long before that. Two of my recommenders submitted their rec's well before the deadline, but the third one lagged. I sent her polite reminders asking if she needed anything from me, but she kept saying she would take care of it ASAP. Days before the application was due, I contacted her again. This time, she said she had already submitted it online. My online account said she hadn't, so I contacted the school the next day to get their advice. They said she should email or fax it ASAP (by this time, it was past the application due date). So I called my recommender and asked if she would be able to do either of those, and she said it wouldn't be a problem. I followed up with her the day after, and she said she'd faxed AND emailed it. (Sidenote: she lives across the country from me and my school of choice.) So then I had to wait a few more days for the school to send out automated emails letting applicants know if they were missing any materials (the Admission department said they were not taking calls at this time). I got the email two days ago, and it said they did NOT have her recommendation. I've been texting/calling/emailing her since and she has not answered at all. The Admission department told me to tell her to send it ASAP, or to look in to asking another recommender. My question is, how do I go about asking someone for a recommendation when it's so last minute? I don't want to make it sound like they are my back-up or anything. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hi All-- So glad I found this topic, and sorry if I'm repeating a question (I don't really feel like reading through 72 pages!). I am hoping to apply for the scholarship this year, and want to be prepared before the cycle opens. I'm trying to find more information out about the recommendations...on the info page it says: The recommendation letter should address the three discussion points found in the instructions in “School Year 2012-2013 Application: Supporting Documents.” I can't access the Supporting Documents page, since the application isn't open yet. Does anyone know what the three discussion points are? I want to get the ball rolling on my recommendations! Thanks!

i only applied to curry...oopsie! i just wanted to put some feelers out and am planning on applying to more boston-area schools next year when i'm done with all my prereq's. curry is still my top choice, so i'm hoping that will help. good luck with your other applications! if you don't mind, post where you end up going!

dancingfree-i'm in the same boat...i thought i was well qualified, but was waitlisted. i think it does have a lot to do with prerequisites, as i'd only finished 2 when i handed in my application. oh well, we'll all get in somewhere! do you know anything about the curry waitlist? i've heard that they never take people off it... good luck with your other apps!
