Hi!
Is anyone else applying to this program? I've just completed my application (very early) and was wondering who else is hoping to attend next summer. The acceptance rate is very low, but I'm hopeful!
Hey everyone. So I still have not heard back but when I handed in my application she told me I would not hear back until mid- to late-January as I handed my application in Dec 1st. As far as deposits go...I am pretty sure they give you a certain amount of time based on when you received you letter. Therefore I don't think everyones deposits would be the same date. Keep your head up everyone! We got this!! :)
hey mrp1004 I saw that you got accepted to MGH woooo congrats! I still haven't heard anything from umass, which is more than disheartening. even if by some miracle i do get accepted or waitlisted, i'm truly feeling turned off by the way they have handled the whole application experience. not only are they not utilizing appropriate technology to make a stressful process much less painful, but it doesn't seem they give the equal courtesy or respect to each their applicants. Even if they are sending out rejection letters, I feel that process should be just as prompt as sending acceptance letters. we all have big decisions ahead of us and their silence is a serious lack of consideration. Umass was my first choice for a year before this but after seeing the way they have treated us as students/applicants, especially in contrast to how mgh treats theirs, I'm sorry to say I've changed my mind..
ps. I still believe it is an great program and for those that were accepted, it's such a huge accomplishment. i'm just disappointed in the admission team and their applicant process.
Renee- congratulations to you, too, on the MGH acceptance! To get into any of these programs is certainly an accomplishment.
I completely understand your feelings about this application process. I'm still holding out for an acceptance, but at this point, I'm just not sure that is realistic. I wish there had been more transparency about their process. Sending decision letters to one pool of applicants and keeping another pool in the dark for another month (or maybe more at this point- who knows when we'll receive their decision), feels very cruel. Also, I can't reach anyone in the nursing office or undergraduate admissions via phone.
I can't believe you haven't received a decision yet, even after your status changed. SO frustrating! I will let you know if I hear anything new
Hi all. I just received a letter in the mail today telling me I am on the waitlist. It states 'We anticipate accepting students from our waitlist beginning in February, with the hope of sending all students a final decision letter by early May.'
My online status changed January 5th. I physically handed in my application November 29th. I'm not sure if my knowing my stats will help, but my undergrad GPA was a 3.7, my prereq GPA was 3.5, I have a Master's degree, teas score 83.3, and I have worked in healthcare the past 1.5 years. Best of luck to those still waiting and those that have been accepted.
Hi Ecase4,
Sorry for taking a while to get back to you...
I received an acceptance letter in the mail on Dec. 29. The deadline to formally accept the admission offer AND pay the $200 deposit was Jan. 22, so I had 3 weeks and 3 days to make a decision. Unfortunately, I am not sure how this works out for students taken off the waitlist. I imagine you'd have a shorter period of time to formally accept. However, you should probably call undergrad admissions for more specific info.
I wish you the best of luck!

Renee- did you get anything in the mail after your status changed? Been thinking about you!
I tried to call their offices on Friday to get more information, but every time I did, it went right to voicemail. I'm definitely feeling more anxious now as deposits are due for other programs. Really hoping to find out this week!
