Yes!! It was November 13th! I think she said something along the lines of "they have the resources to admit more students" and they were just working on actually making that happen.

Thanks everyone for this info about possibly increasing the class size and application review! Super helpful to know!

A little late but I graduated in 2017 with a bachelors in health science with a 3.6 GPA. I have been working at a hospital as an administrator since then. My pre-requisite GPA is 3.9 & I got an 87 on the TEAS.

Hoping we all hear good news soon about our applications!

Nope! I'm not expecting to hear back till the end of the month / beginning of Jan... but I still check the mailbox every day anyways!!!!

Hey all!

I have a 3.3 gpa for my bachelor of science in communication disorders and a 3.9 for my prerequisite courses and I got an 89 on my TEAS. I'm waiting for a final grade for A&P 2 course and once I have it I'll be driving my official transcript to Umass. Hopefully I can get it there ASAP! My status changed to "The committee has done an initial review of your application and you will be receiving a letter shortly." Hopefully that's good news and not because I didn't have that final grade submitted!

I read this on another UMASS ABSN 2019 post:

"I called them and they said we'd hear back end of January/beginning of Feb and that there was only one deadline Dec 1. I thought there was an Early Action deadline of Nov 1..."

I never heard of an early action deadline for the ABSN program- has anyone else? It would be so amazing if we did not have to wait until the end of January!

When I was the information session they made it seem like we hear back by the beginning of January. They want to get admissions decisions out early enough where everyone has enough time to complete the required paperwork / immunizations.

It would be weird to hear back in February seeing as that would give people 3 months or so to get everything done, and give people who are waitlisted essentially even less time.

Who knows though! It seems like there could be multiple possibilities up in the air. I know we all wish we could find out as soon as possible haha

Hey guys! I applied too and my status also says they have done an initial review and that a letter would be sent out soon. What does that even mean?!

I graduated 2016 with a psych degree. 3.7 GPA. 4.0 in prereqs. 86 on TEAs. I am super nervous waiting to hear back!

Hi echo32, I think we are all very curious what that status update means. It seems that they aren't meeting as a committee for another week or so I'm not sure what letter we are all expected to get shortly! Hopefully its good news though.

Very nervous! I received an email on December 11th stating that they were missing my 2nd Letter of Recommendation. I re-submitted it the following day and still have not heard back! I have not received an email with a link in it to check any status updates. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

I have called the CNHS front desk and emailed Quenay and still haven't heard back. Someone posted here that they meet on the 17th-21st, so I'm very worried that I won't be considered.
