Hi guys!
I'm currently completing my undergrad+prereqs to apply in the next year to UM's ABSN program for the Spring 2019 session (Apps due next august). I know it's a very premature thread but I thought there might be other applicants for the Spring 2019 session who are already freaking out about apps like me. If any students who were accepted for previous threads could share their experience, tips, or stats here that would be incredibly helpful.
We got this.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but, if your waitlisted does that mean your in for the next cohort? Or does it mean that if someone with better stats gets in before? And does it mean that only untill someone with your same stats applies that means your in because you were first? I hope I made sense!

The email doesn't say we automatically get in for the next cohort. And it says it's not ranked, they said if a seat opens they look through the waitlist just like the regular admissions process so even if I was "listed" as number 20 on the waitlist, I could get in over who is listed as number 1 if my app is stronger.
It also says that if we aren't moved off the list we can apply for the next cohort.
I also wouldn't get discouraged yet because we have to accept our spot so maybe if people don't do that, they'll fill in with more applicants? Just a thought!
Hi everyone!
I just started looking into these chats because I have been accepted in UM's accelerated nursing program for the spring 2019 semester. I have also applied to FIU's accelerated program and just got interviewed by them. I had to accept UM's offer, since at that time, I had not heard back from FIU and the school only gave me 2 weeks to make a decision. Is anyone else on the same boat? If I were to get into FIU, I would be torn on where to go. FIU is significantly cheaper for the same exact program...but of course, UM has much prestige. Any thoughts?
Also, for anyone that was accepted into UM and has applied for financial aid - have you received any rewards yet? Looks like mine are still pending.
Hi mebricen!
Thanks for all the comments you left. Can I ask one more question? Did you have a lot of classes and clinicals at on the weekends or at night? It mentioned that was a possibility in our acceptance letter but I am trying to get a sense of what it will be like.
Thanks for all your thoughts!
