Hi All,
I failed to clear my NMC OSCE exam in the second attempt, Northampton failed me for minor mistakes. My hospital has withdrawn the sponsorship, due to home office regulations. Is there anyone who can help me how to proceed ahead? and how I can get a new sponsorship? Is there anyone facing/faced similar situation. Any help/info would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Hello!
Ive been reading comments from this blog and yes i do agree that the exam is not really easy to pass even if they are basic nursing procedures. I took my my first resit exam last Wednesday and then by friday im already in the register. Praise God! Practice practice practice is the only key and if there is a chance in the ward for daily dressing to a patient grab it! IM SC drug rounds admissions discharges do it to a real patient in the area, its far better practice and have it checked by ur mentor ofcourse.. practice practice practice. Watch out for the care plan because they do it quite different here.... Best of luck for those who are about to take the exam. Its such a big relief once you pass! happy days! And infairness to the examiners, i believe theyre trying their best to help and be approachable enough, dont hesitate to ask questions before u start so u know how to deal with your particular station like bls
A comment on item 3: I rang NMC about it and they said I need to have a valid IELTS even though I have a valid CBT in order for me to reapply...even though the one who took the call sounded like he's unsure of his answer. May I know where you got this information? Any particular details on reapplication? Thanks.
Hi Rilan! Did you get any clarification with the NMC? I also have an expiring IELTS and a valid CBT. Did you proceed with reapplication or did you retake the IELTS?

It depends on the examiner, I've read that people have been told to restart their antt packs because they've contaminated it which is ridiculous midway. Just let them acknowledge their error and assume they've restarted and give them a chance. The inconsistency with the examiners has been an issue for some.
For obvious reasons I am not talking about my own students, the NMC don't want peers to support each other so make them sign an NDA which is absurd, I'm taking about what I've been reading.

Please what does this phrase mean 'Rejected (no input required)'? I see it written against my OSCE status in NMC portal. This is about 24 hours after sitting the OSCE. Is it a fail? I have not got an email from NMC yet.
