Hi folks,
Thinking about applying to UIC's GEP program. Anybody here applied and was accepted? What were your stats?
My stats: 3.2 Overall GPA/3.5 Sci BA in Sociology. Office Manager in home health care, tech in a medical equipment co, medical assistant (no cert) in dr's office and later office manager there. Volunteering in Nursing Home around 120 hours...
From what I can tell on their website, after completing the NCLEX, you immediately start the master portion of the program. Is this correct?
Wow! You guys are so young! I'm one of the old farts...32! Yikes Anyway, everyone in my group was super friendly also. It was refreshing compared to other interviews I've attended. We had 2 men at my session, both super nice.I, like, Tuckella, took all pre-med courses so I'm def hard science strong. But I lack quite a bit in research and volunteer work. Hopefully my work experience can offset that. I agree with rain, we should all get in.
Did you guys send a letter of intent to the interviewers?
Lol @ old fart. I think that age is probably the last thing they consider when admitting ppl. No ageism being practiced over here.
I did send a thank you letter via email after my interview.

What is a letter of intent?
Also, who told you there would be 12-13 admitted to the psych GEP? The director?
