UIC Graduate Entry Program

Published

Hi folks,

Thinking about applying to UIC's GEP program. Anybody here applied and was accepted? What were your stats?

My stats: 3.2 Overall GPA/3.5 Sci BA in Sociology. Office Manager in home health care, tech in a medical equipment co, medical assistant (no cert) in dr's office and later office manager there. Volunteering in Nursing Home around 120 hours...

From what I can tell on their website, after completing the NCLEX, you immediately start the master portion of the program. Is this correct?

My birthday is this weekend so I was definitely hoping we would hear by Friday but I'm TRYING not to get my hopes up lol

Yeah didn't think we would hear back till the first or second week of May. Good luck everyone! Try to distract yourself and not torture your brain cells by getting anxious or stressed. I am saying temporary goodbye till I hear back.

@sittenfeld and @katherinerner, You're right!! They definitely have a lot on their more on their plate that's easy to forget about!!

Last year they didn't know until May 2nd so we have a few days. I'm still going to check the forum compulsively though... :dead:

Hahaha agreed! Atleast I have final exams to worry about this week so I have something to take my mind off of my anxiety!!

All this talk about finding out the about the verdict next week is not making me any less paranoid about by my emails...lol! I have a feeling that all of us on here will get in; we are clearly deserving!!! :) and I already like you guys so I'm hoping to be classmates

I think it is hard not to check the board/email compulsively. I have a feeling we will hear fri may 3--but I am trying to breath and just focus on other things! Happy almost birthday sittenfield and good luck to anyone taking final exams !!

I have my fingers and toes crossed for Friday.

Wow you guys didn't find out yet if you are accepted? It's almost May. Seems pretty late to be giving out acceptances when most other programs give them way earlier and require deposits.

I don't know how familiar you are with the program, but UIC has a different application deadline, interview timeline, and start-term than other programs. Acceptances should be sent out by the end of next week.

Thanks for your concern though! :)

Wow thank you spell check! Helps to read over what you've written before you post lol

Any hockey fans have the playoffs to keep them occupied too, go Hawks!! Good luck on finals for anyone taking them! And happy early birthday Sittenfeld!! Like everyone else, I have my fingers crossed for Friday too!
