Hi folks,
Thinking about applying to UIC's GEP program. Anybody here applied and was accepted? What were your stats?
My stats: 3.2 Overall GPA/3.5 Sci BA in Sociology. Office Manager in home health care, tech in a medical equipment co, medical assistant (no cert) in dr's office and later office manager there. Volunteering in Nursing Home around 120 hours...
From what I can tell on their website, after completing the NCLEX, you immediately start the master portion of the program. Is this correct?
Yes I sent in my score report ASAP. He said for temporarily send him a screen shot of my receipt that it's been sent because it takes 3-5 business days before the UIC receives the scores. So I did that this morning and thankfully my file is still under consideration. Yes, please call ASAP about this.... I would never have found out if it wasn't for him. He was extremely kind about it because he could tell I was freaking out on the phone. LOL.
I will go ahead and do it tonight without calling then and follow up with UIC tomorrow. I'm sorry but they really should have been a little more clear with the GRE waiver policy if we aren't the only ones. But thankfully the guy was nice about it! I have a feeling who you're talking about and he's definitely really awesome :)
Hi All. I also applied to UIC GEP Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP; and am anxiously awaiting hearing about interviews. UIC's spring break is next week; March 25-29, so I am wondering/hoping they let us know about interviews before spring break. I have a good friend who is currently in the UIC GEP program FNP; and she said in 2011 she was notified of her interview the Friday right before spring break. Also for her cohort; they had both an individual interview, followed by a group interviews. I am not sure if they have changed interview process though since 2011. Nice to meet everyone, and I hope we all hear shortly.
Sweet yeah I know everything will work out in the end. Congrats on DePaul :) I'm excited to hear back from UIC. The person I talked to mentioned that my application will go for review next week. I suppose all the MH ones will get reviewed next week as well. Again, that's just an assumption.
No problem, @hi! Good luck and keep us updated.
