UHV second degree BSN spring 2016 program

Hi guys!:cat: Anyone else applying to UHV's (soon to be UH) second degree BSN for spring 2016? I am super nervous to apply and wanted to see how everybody else is holding up! I have a 3.67 overall GPA A 3.3 science GPA and got a 86.0% on my TEAS, is this good enough?:unsure: I am so nervous I really hope to get in! Also any current students, what are your thoughts? Any advise for current applicants? Good luck everyone!!

Hi all! I also applied to this program and feel pretty confident in my application. They found out today last year so hopefully we should get our letters any day now :) good luck everyone!!

Hi everyone. I contacted the school a few times and, yes, they are in the process of letting everyone know about admissions. Like everyone else, I am nervous as well. Good luck everyone!

Have any of you guys read the other threads about this program? A few former students have commented about how the retention rate for students is really low and they practically kick out people for minor things. I'm worried now. Someone wrote that 60+ people were accepted but only 20 something people graduated and not because they failed out, but because they were kicked out. Maybe it will be better because it's joining u of h?

I still haven't heard back yet either! Only 2 more weeks yall! As far as the retention rate goes, my sister was in this program and people got kicked out for poor grades and not following the rules. This program is for the more mature and dedicated student because it is very difficult to complete in one year. If you try to work and do this program, your grades will suffer and they will notice. If you do poor on an exam, they will have a meeting with you to see why. With such limited space you have to expect that they are going to have high standards for us.

I was told today by an admissions counselor that admission notices and denials go out THIS WEEK. She was asking me about a class I took this summer and needed a copy of my transcript.
