Hi guys!:cat: Anyone else applying to UHV's (soon to be UH) second degree BSN for spring 2016? I am super nervous to apply and wanted to see how everybody else is holding up! I have a 3.67 overall GPA A 3.3 science GPA and got a 86.0% on my TEAS, is this good enough?:unsure: I am so nervous I really hope to get in! Also any current students, what are your thoughts? Any advise for current applicants? Good luck everyone!!

I applied but it is my 4th choice. Previous degree from LSU. That GPA isn't great but I have a 4.0 on all my sciences and other prerequisites I went back to school to complete. 96 overall on my TEAS.

I think your chance of getting an offer is very high. I had overall GPA of 3.80 and TEAS of 89% in last year and I got an offer. Once I got in, I found my classmates had different TEAS scores ranging from 78% to 98%.

I went there several years ago. At the time, I was like WHAT WAS I THINKING! it was very intense and fast. I eat, slept, lived nursing school. It is possible, but you have to be 110% committed. You have to be organized, disciplined, and very hard working. Looking back.....i got a BSN in 1yr! I have never had a problem getting jobs and from what I know neither has any of my classmates. At this point, 4 yrs out, many are now NP or MBA's. Good luck.

I am feeling super intimidated. I did great with my overall gpa's ; sciences, etc. But, I did not score high at all on the TEAS test; i should have studied more thoroughly. I made a 64%. I've been wanting to get into this program and saving up money for the last 2 years just to support myself if I do get accepted. They said it's impossible to work during this program so I've been working a lot just to have the finances to live on . I really hope I get accepted. Did anyone else score low on the TEAS test???? I'm applying for the spring 2016 semester

I am a current UH second degree nursing student preparing to graduate in December *super excited* The program accepts around 90+ that come in for orientation, at least this year they did, and by the end of the first semester the number decreases dramatically. This program is NOT for everyone and there is a high attrition rate because it is intense--2 years into 12 months! I have plenty of good suggestions so please feel free to send me a message. I was there once wondering if I would make it into the program. My stats TEAS 87 GPA 3.8 (nursing and cumulative) however they do look at your overall profile. Hope this helps!
