Hi everyone! Here's the new group chat for all prospective students interested in applying for the Fall 2023 UH Manoa GEPN program. Anyone wanting to chat about their questions, concerns, personal backgrounds, work/life experiences, or just anything really, are more than welcome to upload it in the chat box. Congrats! I also received an email of acceptance to the Nursing MS program from the Graduate Division! Wondering, have you received any email of acceptance from the GEPN coordinator yet? Based on my conversation with the office of Graduate Admissions, an acceptance letter from the Graduate Division indicates acceptance to the GEPN program, but I wondered if anyone has received anything directly from GEPN yet. Thanks ☺️

I just heard back, I was put on the alternate list. I wish everyone luck! I hope I get to join you guys.

Does anyone know if they have a ranking list for alternates? Do they usually pull applicants from this list?

I also heard back today. Unfortunately, I was placed into the alternate list. I really wanted to stay on the island, but I think I will be accepting another program out of state.

Thanks guys!! I didn't think I would get In because my undergrad GPA isn't the highest. I'm getting my Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology, my overall GPA right now is a 3.2. I have A's & B's in my prerequisites. I've been a CNA for a few years and now I work at a children's hospital on a Cardio Unit in Los Angeles. I'm from California as well.

Hey Nicole! Do you know a nurse named Lauren on your unit? My cousin works there (I think on the cardio unit too)!

I hope you get off the alternate list!! Which program did you apply too ?

The DNP-FNP. I was told they have until mid-Feb to accept then they will go from there.
