Hi everyone! Here's the new group chat for all prospective students interested in applying for the Fall 2023 UH Manoa GEPN program. Anyone wanting to chat about their questions, concerns, personal backgrounds, work/life experiences, or just anything really, are more than welcome to upload it in the chat box. Good luck to all applicants and aspiring nurses!

I applied for the MS track

Congrats everyone! I applied to the MSN track

My background is in education. I have a BA in Hawaiian Language (GPA 3.2), Teaching Certication (GPA 4.0), and a Masters in Education GPA (4.0). I got a 4.0 completing my prereqs. I had to redo all of them for I have been out of college for some years.
Iʻm 39 and always wanted to be a nurse. I use to be a preschool director for over a decade but left to care for my daughter who was born ill. Decided to change courses and go Back to school to follow my dream. Living proof you are never too old to tackle school again. If you didn't get it don't give up! Keep trying. You can fall down 7 times and get up 8! Congrats again and I look forward to meeting some of you this fall!

I also got into the Nursing - MS program today!! Should we start a facebook group for prospective students to connect?

I got into the MS one too!! I think a fb group is a great idea

Awesome idea I guess I'll have to reactivate my account I haven't had any Soical media for 4 years

When did everyone submit their applications?

I also just got accepted for the MS track! I completely skipped over the email until I got all of the notifications of people getting in through this forum so thanks guys! My stats:

Born and raised Hawaiian finishing up my BA in Psychology this Spring semester (so haven't even graduated yet!). Thankfully I used to be a Bio major & completed most of the prereqs in order to apply. 4.0 GPA for my science prerequisites & major. For experience, I only have conducted research and did some shadowing of healthcare professionals. Other than that, I don't have much experience like most of you do so I'm extremely grateful to have been accepted. For future applicants, hopefully, this makes you feel better if you don't have much extracurriculars or healthcare experience.

Congrats everyone; so excited for you all! I haven't heard anything back either, and I applied the day after applications opened, so we're in the same boat!

Thank you for your response! The best of luck to you. I will be crossing my fingers for the both of us??

I completed the UH graduate application in September and the other in mid-October.
