I know it is still early on, but are any of you applying to University of Hawaii's Graduate Entry Program in Nursing (GEPN) for fall 2018?
What educational background is everyone coming from? Any health related experience?
For any previous students in this program, how is the first year of course work? Any advice for those planning on applying?
I'm considering applying for the Master of Science track in Advanced Population Health Nursing.
Thank you and good luck to everyone! :)
Hey @Kelseymt and @aspiring808nurse, congratulations on getting accepted! Do you mind sharing a little bit about yourselves? (Right out of undergrad, second career, kids/no kids, etc.) I'm waiting to hear back from UH and a couple other schools and trying to get a feel for the cohorts of each - I know you become really close to people in the first year school trenches :) wanna see what kind of feel each cohort has.
Hi UH 2018 Cohort,
I've been watching this forum, hoping I could jump in with some good news, and I finally can. Today, I got an acceptance letter for the AGPCNP program! I'm a mother of two who was a former English as a Second or Foreign Language Teacher, but I've been back in school doing pre-reqs and Nursing Assistant certification for a while.
Waiting...waiting...I applied for the GEPN-FNP program. Submitted on 10/10.
Been following this discussion for a little while! :)
31..no children...have lived on island before, am now on the mainland. I also taught English abroad about 7 years ago!
Manoa is such a beautiful part of Honolulu and the program seems wonderful.
Congratulations to all who have already received their acceptance letters!
