I am starting a thread for UFV, Sept 2013 applicants (thus the title)
I am a Jan 2013 reject and hoping for a spot in the fall. Is anyone here a repeat applicant?
I can't say for sure, but I don't think it matters if you got them early or after the essays. The interview and academic marks are worth the highest amount of points, so I'm assuming that if you got an interview after writing the essay, it's because your total points (so far) are comparable to those of the people offered early interviews (probably because your essay boosted you to their level).
Because the interview is worth so many points, you have an opportunity to make up for what you lacked in marks. I wouldn't stress too much or read too much into when you got the letter. Especially if you were told that you should have been offered an early one. Just being offered an interview is a good sign, because it means you were short-listed out of the 200+ applicants who also met all the requirements. Just make sure to charm their pants off, and you'll be good!
I have no idea how i did at this point. I don't even remember the questions she asked lol. it was all just a blur. i think i did better than last time but you cant be sure. She was saying how many people struggled in the interview (which made me even more nervous). Some questions she asked were to relate to my life and to tell you the truth those kinds of events have never happened to me. I don't understand why UFV goes through a interview process. University's like UBCO and KWANTLEN only look at your grades. But, there were repeated questions from the last interview (thank god!). She literally wrote everything that I was saying :/
Just a quick question... say if i don't get in (hopefully i will) will i have to send in everything again? And do they know that you have re-applied to the program or does that not matter? And has anyone else applied at other university's, if so which ones?
yes because your second try is over you will have to submit a new application and pay another $45 fee. You also have to send in your transcript and all the things from before. they also do kinda know that its your second time... i think this info is correct, any1 beg to differ?
But hey abby12 there is no reason to start jumping to the negative side, im sure this time is going to be different, and besides if you know that you have done everything and upgraded or worked on whatever they wanted, then all you can do is just wait. Im am sure you did fine though, think positive!

Dang... I spoke to ***** about not received an early interview letter and she said I should have gotten one. Then she told me to E-mail her and I did but no reply... I'm fortunate to have received an interview letter now but it would have boosted my confidence a little If I received one earlier. With that being said, does anyone know If they separate those who received early interview letters from those who received them after the info session? I will be bummed out If they prioritize the early receivers.
