UFV Sept 2013

I am starting a thread for UFV, Sept 2013 applicants (thus the title)

I am a Jan 2013 reject and hoping for a spot in the fall. Is anyone here a repeat applicant?

Hey so just wondering, did anyone get a set answer? Is it 80-90 students receiving interviews? Or 60?

One more thing, if you don't mind me asking, those of you who have recieved letters for the interviews, what were your grades like?

I believe that your grades will get you a pre-selected interview if they are good enough (all A's or all A's and a B). That being said, they are also looking for other attributes that could indicate success in the program. If you are not pre selected, but are granted an interview based on your essay and/or experience, your chances are equally good. Unfortunately, it is so competitive to even get an interview your grades have to be pretty stellar. Due to limited seats in the program many of us who would make excellent nurses, will not make the cut, based on per-requisites alone. Its a jungle out there. Get your A's in order ;)

Alright thank you! My interview is Monday, March 25th! I'm very excited for it! I really am hoping to get in for September!

Interviews started this Monday the 18th and go until April 19th I believe. A full month of interviewing :/ must be 90

Goodluck on your interview!!! We hope the best for you & do let us know how it all goes!! :D Once again, best of luck & im sure youll do great :)

My interview is on the 19th. My finals are on the 18th... Stress much?

Just got my interview letter!! Fiiiiiiiiiinally! Wasn't sure I'd get one this time around! Yippee! And don't worry baileybee, you'll do great for both! :)

For those of you going to the interview ... what are you planning to wear? I'm thinking of wearing either dress pants/skirt with a plain shirt and cardigan.

Kristinaruprecht, do tell us how your interview goes ! Wish you luck :)

Spandex. Purple spandex.

Mmm I would say look professional but don't go over the top bringing a full piece suit and a briefcase. Just make sure you look clean and dress with effort. I hope everyone does well. I think my interview letter came late.. it says If I still haven't wrote the essay, call in to book a day. So I'm assuming they meant to send the letter before the essay writing...

riri.g, mine said the same thing. And I agree, dress "business casual". I don't think it's necessary to wear dress pants and a blazer...but I'd avoid light jeans or anything that's too casual. I really doubt that what you wear will have any say on your aptitude for nursing, but you want to make a good first impression.
