I am starting a thread for UFV, Sept 2013 applicants (thus the title)

I am a Jan 2013 reject and hoping for a spot in the fall. Is anyone here a repeat applicant?

Also, don't forget that not everyone's who accepted into the program will take their seat.

My friend who was accepted may not, as she's been accepted elsewhere as well, so has some tough decisions to make, but if she decides to not accept her offer, her seat will become available to someone else.

Did any of you guys apply to any other programs in BC?

i feel like a majority of status' will change today so lets keep checking and not be discouraged!

Thanks for the kind words pet_lover48! So sorry if we're bringing you down, because really, it's amazing that you got a spot! You worked as hard as all of us and deserve it!

BACK TO COMPLAINING....haha nah, just kidding....but I just had a thought here:

Pet_lover48, if this was your first time applying, are you and your friend, who was accepted also, new grads? Because if you are, the only difference here (and everyone, correct me if I'm mistaken) is that none of us are new grads. I'm attempting to use the power of positive thinking here....but perhaps they do the acceptances in batches of new grads and "mature" students? Because as far as I know at most schools, there are a specific number of seats reserved for new grads, post-degree students, and mature students.

I may be stretching this a little far...but who knows, right?

Nope, both me and my friend aren't new grads. She finished high school 2yrs ago (took a year off and then just completed a year at UFV). I graduated high school last year and also just completed a year of university at UFV. This is both our first time applying.

It's strange because I sort of thought that people who already applied once would have a bit of an advantage/be a bit ahead in the line of the new applicants, but I guess maybe that's not the case?

Pet_lover48 If you dont mind me asking, how long was yours and your friend's interview? And what grades did you come in with.. just trying to pin point what I did wrong..

And everyone I am really mopey today too... I don't want to get my hopes but I keep thinking statuses will also be changed today... doesn't really make sense that all of us wouldn't get accepted...

Those of us that are second time applicants.. will they change our status to "not accepted" or something along the lines of that if we don't get in since our application will be thrown out.

apparently from other forums i think it would changed to "under review" but to everyone, the best time would be to check around 330

guys lets not automatically jump to the conclusion we all didnt get in and we've done something wrong already! They could still be updating status' today

Hi riri.g,

Both of our interviews were only about 30min long. We each had different ladies that interviewed us and I thought mine went pretty good, but my friend didn't feel hers went as well.

I had 4 "A's" and she had 3 "A's" and 1 "B". This year, I also completed English 105 and Psychology 101, plus 4 other courses.
