Ufv 2015 sept intake

Published

Hey all. Just wondering what the mark cutoffs will be for those applying for ufv 2015 fall? My gap is 3.43 ... I heard it was 3.5... Haha. I have 140 hours of volunteer.

ahhh should be any day now for the rest of us!!! :'(

hate waiting...

I'm sure any day now, I do remember the interviewer telling me that definitely before May 15th. It's a long wait...I know! I can't imagine how everyone is feeling!!!!! I waited two weeks before I heard anything!

Good Luck everyone!!!!!

That's what I was sure mine said "by the 15th"... Hmmm well I guess I will be checking it 10x a day still ha ha! I just want to know what's going on! If I don't get in, I decided that's ok! I'll just work on my electives :)

Yes my interviewer also said "by the 15th", I just keep hoping that we'll be surprised before then!;). When I heard the LPN access applicants already heard I just sort of assumed we wouldn't be too far behind!!

I agree jennicole I have pretty much talked myself into why if I don't get in this fall it wouldn't be the worst thing! Lol. Although when I think of doing this whole process one more time for January....ahhhh! Lol. Good luck everyone... Don't go crazy before next Friday!;).

At least I don't have to reapply since it's my first time. It's pretty unusual to get in the first time you apply at ufv too, so I'm also reasoning with that idea if I don't make it ha ha

I've done quite a bit of research within the BSN programs that are offered in the vancouver/fraser valley area. The schools that do not consider your GPA, and will accept 2.0 have extremely long wait lists. For instance, Douglas, Kwantlan, VCC...you are looking at 3-8 years. That to me is ridiculous!!! So put in the effort initially and get in with a higher GPA. I knew UFV was GPA associated because when I spoke with the advisor about the pre-reqs he empathized on the higher grades. I mean I totally understand, its the only way to weed out most application. And I've heard Langara and Kwantlen will be doung the same. They are just making it tougher.

Before starting English I had a 3.7something, and not that I got a B- in English 105 it has brought my gpa down quite a bit.

Not impressed. I just hope if I don't get accept this intake, that I can keep my grades up so my GPA isn't totally ruined for the following intake.

I took ENG 105 online and it was with sonia, she was great! 20% just for online participation. 3 papers, I got an A. Much easier than in class.

Do you guys think it will look unfavourable on my application if I haven't done the university level courses? I have my 4 pre-reqs with a 3.75 gpa. I also have Anatomy I with an A. It seems like everyone who is applying has the first year non nursing courses already!

I think it's better to take university level courses ahead of time, it will decrease your course load. I have taken PSYCH, SOCI, and STATS already, I have heard the BSN course load is fairly heavy and wanted to get these out of the way. One less thing to worry about! I don't think it effects your entry into the program.

Got an email this afternoon!! Accepted!!! Ahhhhhh I'm shaking! I keep reading the email over and over to make sure I'm correct! Anyone else got an email?

OMG CONGRATS!!!!! I did the same, I'm waiting for my acceptance package!!!!
