Ufv 2015 sept intake

Published

Hey all. Just wondering what the mark cutoffs will be for those applying for ufv 2015 fall? My gap is 3.43 ... I heard it was 3.5... Haha. I have 140 hours of volunteer.

Hello fellow applicant! I have also applied for the September 2015 intake :) My GPA is 3.75. My application included 2 reference letters from two Physicians I've worked for (im currently an MOA with 5+ years experience), and I've also completed my Anatomy & Physiology I, although I dont have any other University credits. Eeek! Im so nervous, its been a long road of upgrading to get to this point. Wishing you the best of luck :D Keep me posted and i look forward to *fingers crossed* seeing you in class someday!

A gpa of 3.4 is not bad and higher than what most schools consider "competitive". You have already have experience through volunteer work which helps. Like the other poster mentioned, I bet a letter of reference from your volunteer place would help.

Okay! So they ended up taking my A in chem a day late because of a mix up, and so my gpa is 3.75 now! super stoked on that. i have anatomy part one done, currently in anatomy part 2 at ufv with the nursing students. I have reference letters from pub health, volunteering with cancer research, and also from the old folks home. I also have all of my electives (non-nursing) done. I hope this is enough! :)

Sydney you sound like your all set! Congrats on your A in chemistry :D

are you applying for any program? rayanne203?

Yeah I am wait listed for Douglas college for fall and have reapplied for winter 2016. I have also applied to BCIT, however my gpa isn't as great as your lol I have 3.5. I do however have 130 hours volunteering with Fraser Health in the child health clinic and hospital. Plus I have completed the academic foundations in nursing at Douglas College putting me at over 30 post secondary credits. It's super competitive though! My fingers are crossed! My BCIT stays says pending department review since January 20th with no change lol. The wait is killing me :p

Wow you guys' applications are awesome! Congrats on getting this far, it's a huge accomplishment!

Hi! I am also applying for the BSN program at UFV for Sept 2015!! I am so happy to have found this group! :) I am applying with similar marks and volunteer hours. I have 2 A+ and 2 B+, which I believe gives me a GPA of 3.8. I have 3 volunteer references with a total of about 170 hours. I have completed my A&P I and II and all my university non-elective courses. I am a little worried about my marks as I have heard you need 3 A's to get in...opinions??? So exciting to finally be applying, I'm sure like the rest of you, it has been a long journey to finally be here! I have been scouring all the previous UFV postings for the last year, that I am so happy to finally be able to join in on the conversation! :)

Ps. Has anyone heard a timeline for when the information/essay night and interviews are? In previous years it seems the info. night was the middle of March...

I'm sorry I wish I could tell you I have only applied at Douglas and BCIT
