Ufv 2015 sept intake

Hey all. Just wondering what the mark cutoffs will be for those applying for ufv 2015 fall? My gap is 3.43 ... I heard it was 3.5... Haha. I have 140 hours of volunteer.

Dreambig79 I spoke with someone on the phone last week and she said they would be calling mid February to March to invite people for the info session and then the interviews wouldn't be until march/April. The wait is torture! If I get any emails or phone calls I'll post an update!

I'm also applying for fall. I got an email saying that my application is in complete standing and in the position to be considered for fall intake.

dreambig79 you need just two As and two Bs to get an invite to the info session! And from your essay, or depending on your gpa, you will get an invite for the interview...I got to the interview one time with A A B B- :) but now have A A A B, Goodluck!!

Thanks for the feedback Sydneyy! Did you upgrade your one B mark based on UFV's feedback? Congrats on the 3A's and a B! I bet you'll get in no problem this time!!:)

Yeah they said that marks was the only problem with my application. The b- brought my gpa down. If you have 3.5 or better I think that's good. Sometimes the sept intake gpa cutoff is a bit lower than 3.5 for some reason.

Wow it is so encouraging to hear what everyone's doing and knowing your not the only one! It also makes me nervous, especially hearing that we might get calls within the next few weeks! I am wondering whether they take the university the more recent English mark or the high school one? I am like you Sydneyy I am super close to the 3.5 but not quiet they but with my university English mark I am a bit over 3.5. Hoping they will take that mark ahha! My high school marks are average I'd say but I have around 250 hours or work experience and volunteer, 3 reference letters and an A average in all my pre-nursing courses. I am so passionate about this field and just really want to jump into it! I hope we will find out soon! good luck you all of you, your grades and references sound amazing! I know it is easy to have doubts around this stage about what sets each other apart but stay strong!

Yeah they typically take your recent uni marks! My friends in the program and they used her English 105 mark:)

I am invited to the information session got sure. I received a reply saying:

Good Morning Jennifer,

The Bachelor of Science and Nursing information sessions are by invitation, not all applicants are invited to the information session. If your application is in a position to be considered for the fall 2015 you will receive an email to invite you to the BSN information session. Generally applicants with a 3.5 GPA and higher and many volunteer hours (more than the min 30hrs) are invited to the information session.

Jennifer are you invited for an info session or was that just a response letting you know that it is by invitation only?
