UF Generic Nursing 2010

Published

Hey! So has anyone applied for Fall 2010.? What is your GPA and where are you transferring from. I currently have a 3.1. I am taking Micro and A&P II and I'm sure I will get A's in both of those to help my GPA go up. Do I stand a chance? Not to happy about my GPA though. Chemistry killed me. I got a C. I'm going to be a transfer from Santa Fe College.

Keep me posted! =] Good Luck to everyone. :)

Does ISIS even allow you to add NUR 3129 because I thought only students admitted to the program can. just wondering

Hi AfroBella :) I have a question for you about the nursing program. I was once a student at UF (last spring and summer) doing architecture.. Needless to say I didn't like what I was doing and am much happier now doing the science route instead art classes.. Anyways I was wondering I'd maybe that the fact I was once a student there would help or hurt my chances of getting in.. While I was there my grades were good in architecture but I just didn't enjoy what I was doing. Your opinion is greatly appreciated :)

Hi everyone! I am a transfer from UCF and applying to UF's nursing program for Fall 2011, and I was wondering what your gpa's were of those who got in?

I really appreciate it, thanks so much!

Amber:)

The average GPA last year of students admitted to the program was a 3.67.

Was that an overall gpa? Or just nursing prerequisite gpa? Oh, and I am a transfer student, do you think I have a chance? Thank you so much for replying so soon. :)

I'm sorry...I thought I posted my gpa...I have a 3.56 overall, and 3.77 prerequisite.

Hi Amber227.

I apologize, I forogot which thread this was and the 3.67 was from our Accelerated program. The GPA from the Generic BSN program last year was actually a 3.7 overall gpa for both the overall and the prerequsite.

Just Curious do they look at the application before spring semester grades are processed and start making decisions off that. They have us turn it in so early.......

I'm pretty sure they look at spring grades as well, which is why it takes them so long to give us an answer.

Correct. We do wait for Spring grades.

this might sound a little nuts, but do they automatically update the College of Nursing with our spring grades or do I need to send another transcript over? I'd hate to miss out if they didn't automatically update.

I believe you have to send them spring transcripts
